Charlie POV
I sat at the front desk, bored out of my mind. Vaggie sat beside me, helping guests with any questions they may have had. Suddenly, the hotel shook and a loud thud sounded from above. "What the heck was THAT?!" Vaggie yelled. "Hold on, I'll go find out." I proceeded to check each room. The first floor was clear. As I moved from room to room, I started to feel a little bit more nervous. The second floor was clear also. I had a feeling I knew what room it really came from.
I approached Alastor's door, afraid of what carnage I was going to witness once I stepped in. Opening the door quickly, I was mortified by what I saw. Alastor was laying on the floor, unconscious. He had gashes in his arms, his left sleeve was torn off. He was bleeding profusely. His smile was large, but many of his teeth were cracked. But the most horrific part of all was the thing standing beside him. It was tall and spindly, with a red dress covered in blood. Its eyes were all black; if evil was turned into a color, it would look like that. Its smile was long and thin, sharp teeth flashing. I covered my mouth in horror as I realised who the thing was. Rosella, the sweet, charming, cute fallen angel of a demon was smiling over Alastor's broken body. She glanced at me, and her smile grew even wider. "Hello, Princess," she said in a cracked voice. "I hope you slept well." She stepped over him, and came towards me. "Why so scared? I thought you HATED him." The door slammed shut, trapping me in. "Why are you doing this?!" I asked, panicked. "Why did you attack him?!" She chuckled softly. "There's a reason I came to Hell. And now that he's knocked down a peg," she said, pointing to Alastor, "I can now get the respect I deserve as the most feared demon in HELL!!" She stepped closer. "And I'm gonna use you to set an example."
Suddenly, large black tentacles wrapped around her from behind. Alastor had sat up and was using his magic, the dark rings under his eyes were clearer than ever before. "WHAT?! I THOUGHT YOU WERE DONE FOR!" Rosella yelled before she was engulfed in the tentacles. Alastor clenched his fist, blowing her to smithereens. Her shrill scream hung in the air. As the dust settled, I coughed and tried to find my way to him. Tears began to stream down my cheeks. "Al?!" I shouted. I heard a small radio static voice. The air cleared and I saw him, leaning against the far wall. I ran over to him, the tears coming down faster now. I slipped beside him, and wrapped my arms around him once more. I rested my head against his shoulder. "Al, I-I'm so sorry..." I felt a hand land on my cheek and looked up. "Smile, my dear..." He said softly. "You look beautiful when you do." I smiled weakly. "My darling..." I closed my eyes again. "I believe I may love you."
