Kagomes POV

Three years.

It's been three years since we defeated Naraku, and I was sent back to my own time. Three years since I have seen InuYasha.

Don't get me wrong, not everything is terrible about returning to modern Japan. Today I graduated from high school, something I never could have done back in the feudal era of Japan. There are no demons now, just pets.

But back with InuYasha I had a calling, I wanted to be a priestess. Not only because of Kikyo, who I'm a reincarnated from, but because I liked helping others, protecting them, and being able to teach children herbs to make medicine.

I miss feudal Japan. I miss Sango. I even miss Miroku, but not his twitchy hand. But most of all... I miss InuYasha.

Ever since I destroyed the shikon Jewell I haven't been able to return. It was the only thing that connected me to that time period.

Would I go back? In a heartbeat. I know that if it did open up that I would have to choose between this time or then and choose between my family and InuYasha. They'd understand. They know how I feel.

"Hey sis?" Soto poked my arm, and I looked over at him.

"What is it?" I asked quietly.

"I think you should check the well."

My heart jumped out of my chest and I immedently ran down the stairs and to the shrine where the well that changed my life was located. It was glowing. My mother, grandfather, my brother and my cat all followed me.

"Go ahead, Kagome. We all support you. We love you."

I felt a tear flow down my cheek, as I heard my mother utter those words. I hugged them "I love you guys." And jumped to my new life.

InuYasha POV

"Get off my ears!"

"Doggy!"

"Now InuYasha, be nice, they are just kids."

"And you're their uncle, so show a smile."

I rolled my eyes. I hardly felt like anything but a play toy since Sango and Miroku had their twin daughters.

"He has been like this ever since Kagome left."

"Shut up would ya!? This has nothing to do with Kagome!"

Almost as soon as I spoke her name, I smelt her scent. I handed Sango her daughters and ran off without a word.

"Kagome?"

As I ran toward the well, and reached down to feel a hand grip mine, and I pulled up.

The love of my life. My Kagome.
