8: ROME

ROME

I'm currently sleeping in my room, when I heard my phone ringing, when I look at the caller id, it say unknown. My brow frown in confusion who's calling me at six am in the morning. I leaned my back into the headboard and answers the call.

"Hello, who's this?", I said and I heard giggling on the other line.

"Good morning uncle rome!!!!!", a child greets me excitedly from the other line, and I frown because that tiny voice belongs to p'pick son rain.

"Good morning to you too handsome rain, may I ask where did get my phone number?", I asked the child.

"Daddy, got it for me, he told me that he got your number from untie sanchez, uncle can I ask you a favor pls", I smile on how sweet the child voice in my ear, how can I say no to his favor if he sounded cutely like this.

"Alright baby what's your favor, and I will decide if I can grant it?", I replied to rain who squeel excitedly.

"Uncle rome, can you go in our house and play with me please, daddy will have to go to his office and I don't have anyone to play", rain informed and I sigh, this child is really something.

"Rain, is your daddy with you?", I asked again and rain answers yes, and I sigh. "Can you give the phone to your daddy, baby, I want to talk to him", I said with a sweet voice and rain give the phone to pick.

"Hello", I heard p'pick said and I sense the nervousness in his voice. I grinned and seriously asked him a question.

"What's happening here p'pick?", I seriously question pick and the other line becomes silent. "P'pick answer me now, or else I'll end this call, I'll giving you five minutes starting now", I said as I tried to muffle my laughter, I know that pick surely in panic now cause I'm hearing rain asking his daddy if he was alright in the other line.

"Rome, I'm sorry my son, wants to play with you today, so I asked your number to doc sanchez, and here we are talking now, but if you are busy you can say no", pick informed me as I heard someone talking beside him. "Daddy what did you say, I want play with uncle rome today", I suddenly smiled to what rain exclaimed in the background this child really. I look at my watch and calculated the time while remembering if I have an appointment today but thanks goodness I'm free.

"Send me the address p'pick, I will entertain your son for today", I replied and after a minute I pulled away my phone from my ear when I heard rain screamed. "Thank you much uncle rome, see you later!!!!!!!!!",.

"Thank you rome, I'm sorry for the inconvinient", pick exclaimed to me and he gave his home address to me, I get a pen and paper and wrote the address.

"Welcome, you don't need to wait for me anymore, go to your work now, don't worry I'll be there in one hour to accompany your son", I replied and after that I ended the phone call to prepare myself for todays event.

After an hour, I arrived at the address that p'pick gave to me. I exited my car and when I look at the house infront of me, I realized that this house was p'picks family house, now I'm starting to regret going here, p'pick father accepted me to his family but when I left years ago, I didn't say any words to him and now I'm terrified to what his father will say to me. I'm about to turn away when someone called my name.
