After what felt like an eternity and at the same time not enough they separated, blushing like crazy and not daring to look at each other. But the boy was grabbed by someone from behind, pulled away against his will. The girl stood there in horror screaming and begging for the creature to let him go, but her efforts were useless. Her screams had attracted the rest of the community and she was taken against her will as well, what she didn't know was that would be her last time standing there.
Alaska woke up, the day was as dark as it got, a snow storm had hit them and she could feel the coldness through the glass. She grabbed her phone and called her manager to apologize once more and to explain why she didn't fulfill her shift AGAIN.
-Hey Alaska, how are you feeling?
-Um fine I guess
-Oh you poor thing, it's okay to admit that you miss your grandma
-My what?
-Now that's just rude to disrespect your dead grandma Alaska
-My dead grandma?
-Uh yeah, your grandfather came in yesterday telling me that you wouldn't come to work because you were in charge of planning the funeral and she had very specific instructions, I believe he said his name was Doug or something like that
-Douglas...
Alaska nearly cried when she said his name, but she kept it in.
-Yes that's him! Well I hope everything turns out well
-Um, yeah I hope so too, bye Kylie
-See ya soon Alaska!
Alaska sat slowly on her mattress and just sat there trying not to cry. It took her awhile but she managed to keep her feelings in, she put on a short sleeved grey t-shirt and some pajama shorts on and walked to the kitchen. Blaze and Jake sat opposite of each other, Jake with the biggest mug of coffee in the house and Blaze with his head buried in his hands with his eyes closed leaning on the table.
-Morning party people!!
-Morning!
Jake was just as energetic as ever drinking his coffee and ready to go to work.
-Please don't yell
On the other hand Blaze looked terrible, as if a truck had just hit him.
-Rough night?
Alaska grabbed some aspirin and handed it to Blaze with a glass of water.
-Yeah...And please don't come near me right now, I'm really sensible
Alaska wanted to laugh but noticed that Blaze's lips started turning blue and the glass of water in front of him was boiling. She sat away from Blaze.
-Powers and alcohol don't mix?
Blaze took an aspiring and rested his head on the table.
-Not at all
Alaska and Jake started laughing, Blaze lifted his gaze towards Jake.
-How are you not dying after all that tequila?
-And wine
Alaska laughed even harder and Blaze gave her a deathly stare.
-It's not my first time partying until 3 am and then having to go to work the next day. Speaking of, I gotta go! Don't kill each other!
Jake left, leaving the empty cup of coffee on the table.
-So how much do you remember from last night?
-I remember wanting to puke, burning a bunch of stuff and did I try to kiss you?
