Chapter 1
Family

"ANNIE!" I slowly shift my eyes awake "hmm?" I mumble, raising an eyebrow and turning over to my side seeing my sister standing at the door frame.

"Annie, we're going to be late on our first day of school! Get up!" She then runs out of the room, clearly in a hurry to leave already.

"Nguh, fine..." I groan, getting myself out of bed.

"For fucks sake." I grumble, unrested and irritated as I rub my left eye tiredly. Making my way over to my bathroom, I stare in the mirror.

'Another day, another no fucks given' is all that runs through my mind. Sighing softly, I brush my teeth and spit it out into the sink, watching the mixture of saliva and toothpaste slide down the drain with distaste. I don't want to fucking do this today.

Stripping off my shirt slowly with malaise and replacing it with a Green Day shirt, I slide up my fishnet tights and black shorts, still dreading the day ahead of me.

"Annie let's go!" Christa says with an urgent excitement in her tone.

The smaller blonde came into frame at the bathroom door, wearing an eager expression with a large smile dominating her features.

"Christa, calm down will you." I give a closed lipped smile at her as I head out, wobbling on one foot briefly as I put my worn combat boot on my foot with the other planted on the floor for.

"I'm comin, I'm comin..." I mutter at her, grabbing my bag and heading towards the car almost reluctantly.

Fifteen minutes later we are at the traffic light beside the school, I glance over at my overly enthusiastic sister. Our brother Reiner has just recently won custody over my sister and ever since she's been as happy as I've ever seen her living with us. So caught up in my thoughts, I nearly miss it when she speaks.

"Sis, the lights green." Christa says softly and I gather my attention back to the road.

"Right, thanks." I murmur nearly under my breath with a blank expression, still tugging my mind back to focus as I pull into the parking lot.

As we both enter the halls, there's people staring and already muttering as we walk past, "That taller one looks angry" "Look at them. They're both so short" "She looks far happier to be here rather than that other annoyed chick" I growl lowly to myself, near stomping to my locker at this point as I try to keep my temper in check and put in my combination code annoyed, fingers roughly handling the dial. My blood is boiling as all my thoughts are centered around 'great, the awkward, antisocial, older, sister and the hyper, loving, younger, sister.' I know they would all be thinking that soon.

Don't get me wrong, I love Christa, but I already know people will compare me to the 'black sheep' of the family. Reiner graduated last year and he was the famous football player, the jock type who could be an asshole but also was loving to  the ones he cares for. Now, Christa and I show up here as the fresh meat to new and old eyes. Christa would be the cute, loving, adorable girl who always had everyone's back.  As for me, well, I'll be that awkward, antisocial, bitch with anger issues. Aka the awkward black sheep, or the lone wolf. I kinda like that thought, the lone wolf, prefer it actually...I like it quite a lot.

I'm snapped back into reality when a locker beside mine slams. I glare over, wondering just what their problem is and I'm about to tell this person that they can fuck right off untill I am met with stunning silver grey eyes and black, shiny raven hair. She glances over at me and I lose my ability to even speak like she sliced my tongue right out of my mouth. Her expression isn't harsh, however she has a blank stare. I open my mouth to say something, some retort to her actions but before the words could come out, the girl shrugs me off like nothing; like I'm nothing. The damn nerve of her! That gets my blood to simmer violently again like no other. Who the hell is she and just who does she think she is?
