Chapter 23•
Natalie's pov•
So I woke up today with an ace in my heart. My mind kept replaying the fun times I had with hayes this summer. But then my heart told me I will never see him again.
"What am I going to do?" I say into my hands.
"I don't know, but are you packed?" Kaitlyn said to me sarcastically. Not meaning it of course.
"Haha very funny.." I say
I get off the top bunk and zip up my suitcase. Go to the bathroom wash my face and put my hair up. Since I'm going to be on a bus filled with kids for 6 hours I decided to wear my Nike leggings and a pink t-shirt. I laced up my running shoes and walked into the bedroom again to see ema, Georgi, and Kaitlyn waiting there for me.
"IM GOING TO MISS YOU KAY!!!!" I say crying.
"Hey on the bright side I might see you in the future." she said with a smirk.
"Maybe maybe." I said thinking about my future. The thing hat scares me the most. then there was a knock at the door..
"Girls 5 minutes till load up! Say your last goodbyes and bring your bags down!!" Our leader said with so much joy.
"Okay tommy! See you in 5." We said in sink. then Hayes appears at the door.
"Hey Kaitlyn our rides here..natalie can k talk to you?" He says with uncertainty. I think I know what's coming.
"Yeah, but can you help me carry my things to the bus?" I say trying to be happy, but fail.
"Yeah." He said walking out the door with my bags.
"Bye Kay! Call me okay?" I say
I walk out to the bus put take a seat by Hayes on the stairs.
"Natalie...us..I don't think it's gonna work out." He says without the slightest bit of doubt.
"Oh." Is all I can say "w-why..is it because of the distance or because of me?" I say with tears threatening to leave my eyes.
"No..it's not the distance or you..it's me..I still like sam..."he says and stares of into the distance .
"Wow." I say and get up. I don't even say goodbye. I walk to the bus with my head down and get checked in. I walk onto the bus and find a seat in the middle. I stare out the window and look at him smiling and laughing like nothing happened. I felt the little salt bulbs starting to pour out my eyes. I didn't even know I was crying. I look away and put in my ear buds. "Bound to you" by Christina Aguilera. It made me cry even harder. Hayes was my first love and I trusted him. I started to sing the song.
