The dead person was Qi Weiqiang.

At 8 o'clock in the morning when a primitive person came to deliver breakfast, everyone gathered in the lobby and waited for a long time, but Qi Weiqiang didn't come down. Pingyang and Shi Fei went up to call him and then found that the door of 204 only appeared to be closed. Both had a bad hunch.

As expected, Qi Weiqiang was already cold.

Qi Weiqiang's body was lax and collapsed in the middle of the room. If his limbs weren't separated and there was no large pool of bright red blood that seemed to stain the entire room, they'd think he was just asleep.

"Bleurgh!"

When Meng Bao, who'd followed then, saw this scene from behind Pingyang and Shi Fei, he immediately turned to vomit.

After vomiting, Meng Bao reacted and screamed.

And so: "Ah—— Dead man!"

Not long after, the players all saw the crime scene.

No one wanted to stay in the dead man's room to discuss things, so they gathered in the lobby on the first floor.

After they'd slept, it was impossible to see any signs of the fierce fight that had taken place in the lobby last night. Yet, at the moment, no one at the table had thoughts about eating... Wrong.

Everyone stared at Su An, who was eating at the dining table. Their mouths were open and they didn't know what to say.

The person they'd thought was dead came back. Shock and surprise had filled their hearts when they came downstairs. Now, in the face of this level of death, this person had a leisurely and slow breakfast while everyone else's hearts were numb.

Regardless of whether this person was stupid or an actual master, the others didn't want to ignore him.

"I think someone might've killed him." Meng Bao glanced at Su An, who was attentively eating. He remembered the grief this person had given him at first, and then how he'd gotten kicked. "Think about it, last night we were killing zombies, and even when we went to sleep afterwards, we were all tired. Who would've been in the mood to kill people? Only this mysterious guy disappeared into the night. We don't know if he hid in the dead man's room in advance to kill him while he slept."

The more Meng Bao said, the more sense it made: "And the expression on the dead man's face was so calm. Is there any way to kill someone like that if they're not asleep?"

There naturally was a way.

Several experienced players answered quietly in their hearts: There were also some items that had this effect.

Of course, no one said anything. They only quietly observed everyone's expressions with their inadvertent stares.

"Brother Ping, am I right?" When he didn't get the approval he wanted, Meng Bao looked at Pingyang with dissatisfaction.

Pingyang almost completely understood the character of this spoiled fat man. He smiled and appeased: "It's good for you to have your own ideas, but we're now a team and there's one less person. Under the absence of evidence, it's better not to guess others at random and destroy the trust between us. That's not conducive to our getting along for the next few days. I believe you understand, right?"

Meng Bao stopped talking.

Pingyang continued to say to everyone: "Since we're all sitting here, how about we discuss our opinions?"

The hall was quiet, and Shi Fei's voice sounded.

"Let me say that Qi Weiqiang didn't talk much, and I don't know much about him, but he went up with me yesterday. Originally, we were going back to our own rooms, then he suddenly said that he had something to ask me. I brought him to my room for a while, but he went back soon after."

"Well, when he went back, Meng Bao and I just happened to come up and we greeted each other. At that time, the light wasn't good and I didn't see how he was." Pingyang said, turning around and asking Meng Bao, "Did you see him clearly?"

Meng Bao shook his head. He'd just said "no" when he unexpectedly thought of something and mentioned: "But I'd injured my hand at that time and kept looking down at my hands. I looked at Qi Weiqiang's hand at the same time and found that there seemed to be something in his hand."

"Something?" Sister Tao frowned and looked at Shi Fei, "What did he say to you? What did you give him? If you don't want us to regard you as a suspect, be good and don't hide anything."

"I didn't give him anything!"

Shi Fei turned up the volume. He watched the doubts deepen in the gazes cast by others and he lowered the volume again: "I really didn't give him anything. Weren't we all always together yesterday? I don't know him well. He suddenly said something was wrong with him, and I was shocked at first. As a result, he entered my room and said nothing. I thought he was thinking things through and poured him a glass of water."

"As a result, he didn't say anything after I waited for a long time. I was too sleepy and a little angry, so I told him to think about it and come back later."

"Really, then he went back. His mind seemed full of something, but I was too sleepy, so I didn't ask, thinking I'd have the opportunity today. Who would've thought..."

Who would have thought that the man would be dead today.

"In this way, the thing Qi Weiqiang took may be the key." Pingyang thought a little, and proposed, "Why don't we go to 204 together to see if we can find any clues."

"I don't want to go." As soon as he heard that they were going to the room with the corpse, Meng Bao shouted, "The body is still inside. There's blood everywhere on the ground and it's disgusting to look at."

"Then you won't go. No one will force you. Maybe you'll get up tomorrow morning and we'll see your corpse; you can take advantage of this time to be more nostalgic here." Sister Tao gave Meng Bao a glance. She was the first to get up and walk upstairs.

Zhou Tianxin still followed behind Sister Tao.

Seeing that Meng Bao was riled again, Pingyang had to persuade: "Sister Tao is a bit harsh, but she's right. We have to find out how he died to know how to avoid it, otherwise we could be next."

Faced with the threat of death, Meng Bao withered.

The people who reached an agreement all went up to the second floor. Su An grabbed the napkin, wiped his mouth, and followed behind them.

Su An was still very interested in how other people passed levels.

The others knew that Su An was following and didn't bother with him.

When the door of 204 was pushed open again, the bloody corpse in the centre of the room had disappeared, leaving only a life-sized puppet that laid in the exact same posture as the body had.

"This is?" Zhou Tianxin was ready to see the corpse and was surprised to only find a fake.

This time, Pingyang explained to her: "This is a rule of the game. When everyone in the game has seen the body, the body will be replaced by a completely personalised puppet."

"There's still idle chatter? Since the body is gone, have you become more courageous? You won't hurry to find clues?"

Sister Tao's voice came from behind the sofa. Zhou Tianxin hurried and also found a place to search.

Su An didn't rush to find anything. He just stood by the door and looked at the layout of the room.

Su An lived in 304, which was directly above 204, but he hadn't heard anything last night. This meant that either this wasn't the scene of the person's death, or there was something like an enchantment set up at that time.

He didn't know if such an enchantment was laid by the murderer or if the resident of 204 did it himself.

After all, this Qi Weiqiang was also a secretive person.

However, these two rooms were worthy of being upstairs-downstairs from each other. Not only was the structure of the room exactly the same, even the way things were displayed was the same too. If Su An wasn't confident in his memory, he may have wondered if he'd gone to the wrong room.

"Eh, what's this?"
