the next few days they all followed their timetable of activities planned out by sangyeon. eric and jazz weren't avoiding each other, like everybody was expecting them to. they just acted like friends. this was unusual, not just because they were friends which was something completely never seen or done before, but because it was strange to see jazz and eric getting along like friends, when everybody knew that they just had to be something more.
it was now the last night, and sangyeon had planned for them all to go out for dinner at a fancy restaurant. not extremely fancy and posh, like tuxes or expensive dresses. but fancy enough to make jazz panic about what to wear.
she was rummaging through her closet but realised she had nothing appropriate. eric came into the bedroom, standing at the door and chuckling to himself at how jazz was so panicked over her outfit. eric had been shopping with hyunjoon and juyeon today to buy clothing for them all, without jazz knowing. jazz looked to him, doing a double take because he was looking his best, his damn best. he was wearing a blue waistcoat that wasn't too fancy. it was checkered with buttons down the middle, worn with a white shirt underneath and a black tie that was not tied up yet, simply just draped around his neck. he wore white trousers and black shoes that complimented his entire look.
"here you go," eric said, passing her the dress he picked out for her that was hidden behind his back.
"what-you didn't have to get me anything, i could have just bought one myself, i was actually about to go out any buy-"
"jazz, just put on the damn dress. for me. go on," he said, laughing and pushing it towards her. she nodded and laughed, walking over to the bathroom to get changed. a few moments later she came out, and eric couldn't take his eyes off her, again.
"could you zip me up? i can't reach," she said, turning her back to eric. it was hard for him to not fall more in love with her as she did this.
he zipped up her dress, and she turned around and tied his tie for him. meanwhile, eric just stared at her lovingly. without knowing it, they were already close enough to touch noses.
"it's strange that we're friends..." jazz whispered.
"i know...but i've never hated you jazz, even though i gave that impression-"
"no...it's not because we've never been friends...i don't know what i'm doing, eric. if i don't take this chance then maybe it will never come again. i love you...and i want to be with you,"
eric smiled, slowly leaning in further and kissing her.
"then i guess you're my girlfriend, now,"
