Emerson Grace is just a 18 year old girl living in a small town. When her long distance best friend Amber buys them tickets to the 5 Seconds of Summer concert, who knew her world would change.
It was three in the morning and I am just sitting up on my phone staring at the 5 Seconds of Summer page on Instagram. They announced their No Shame tour today. I go to my bank account to see how much money I have and to see if I am gonna be able to go. Feeling super upset when I see that I have only thirty dollars, I turn my phone off and try to sleep. This is like the third tour that I have not been able to go to due to not having the funds for it. With tears in my eyes, I finally end up going to sleep.
I wake up to the sound of my phone blaring in my ears, without looking, I brush my long curly brown hair out of my face and I pick it up.
"GUESS WHAT?" It is my closest friend Amber. She lives five hours from me, but we still managed to become eachothers best friend through an app called wattpad. We are both obssessed with 5sos and NASCAR so it was just perfect.
"What?" I answer quite groggily. What could possibly be so important that she calls me at 7 in the morning?
"I might have just bought us tickets to the 5 Seconds of Summer concert!" I jerk up out of bed so quickly when those words fell out of her mouth.
"Are you serious?" I basically scream in her ear with tears on the brim of my eyes.
"Yes! I have been planning this for a couple weeks now, I figured I could surprise you with it since your birthday is coming up." I can not believe she would do something like this for me. We have not even met in person yet, what if she is some murderer?
Fully crying now, I manage to let a few words escape, "Thank you so much Amber! Do you know what that means now?"
"What?" She answers a little confused not having a clue what I am about to say.
"We finally get to meet! After almost two years, we will finally meet each other."
"You're right! I was not even thinking of that, I am so excited!" I could hear her choking up a bit on the other end of the phone.
Suddenly I hear a loud crash downstairs that about makes me jump out the bed. "Hey Amber, let me call you back in a little bit." I then hang up and slowly creep to my door. Not hearing anything, I creek it open and peek out. Nobody is there. I then walk down the hall and down the stairs. When I look around the corner I see my older brother. I have not seen him since he left for the army a year ago.
"Oh my gosh Chase, what are you doing here?" I run and pratically knock him down when I hug him.
"They let me out for a couple weeks, I was hoping to surprise you." He hugs me so tight. I missed him being around. We were so close before he left.
"You definitely did! Today has been the best day ever and it is only 7:30. Guess what else has happened this morning?"
"Let me guess, Amber bought you tickets to see... what was their name again? 5 Minutes of Spring?"
I hit his arm knowing good and well he knows the actual name. Wait, he knew about this? "How did you know? Were you in on it all?" I say totally shocked.
"She messaged me a few weeks ago asking if it would be a good present."
"Well it definitely is." I hug him one more time. I am so excited for the good things coming up.
The months go by so slowly leading up to the concert. We are going to a venue that is midway between our houses. If she is not a murderer, I will probably end up staying with her in a hotel room for a couple days. We have plans to meet up at the concert beforehand, knowing it would be a safe place.
I rushed this morning getting ready to leave the house and make the three hour trip to Charlotte North Carolina. I put on the cutest leopard print dress that fits my thin silhouette just perfect, a long sleeve black shirt under and my doc martens.

I finally arrive at the stadium and start walking towards the front. I texted Amber but have yet to receive a reply. I get to the front and hear someone calling my name. I turn around and see Amber standing there. I run so fast and hug her.
"I am so happy to see you! I have something to tell you though." I start sweating. What if something happened to the tickets? What if they were fake? The endless possibilities run through my head. "We actually are not entering here, we enter over there." She points to the meet and greet line.
Smiling so hard, "Are you serious??" I can not believe this. Am I finally gonna meet the guys?
"Yes! Now let's hurry before we are too late!" We start running to the lline grinning ear to ear. When we arrive they are starting to let people inside. They check our bags and tickets, then give us lanyards. The anticipation build as we walk down the longest hallways. By the time we finally reach our destination I am basically dancing out of my dress. There is a tent thing in front of us that the guys are standing behind.
Girl after girl, they all go in one curtain and out the other. I peak through the curtain everytime someone walks in. The guys look so good. Finally it is my turn. They open the curtain to let me in, the guys are just standing there looking at me. Not knowing what to do, Luke opens his arms for me to hug him.
"How are you doing?" He asks looking so happily at while I am in his arms.
"I am doing great! How about you all?" I ask while still hugging him. Next thing I know the lights go out and huge roar comes over us. I jump a bit and look at the guys. Luke looks at me and I catch his eyes for a few seconds. What is going on? Am I going to be stuck in here with 5 Seconds of Summer?
