(Izuku's POV same time as when his mark started to flicker)

I woke up to my father pouring cold water on me. I was already cold from being stuck down here.

"Happy Birthday Deku" he yelled

This is what my father called me. It means useless. That's what I am. I'm useless. When I started to cry I was met with a slap across the face.

"Stop crying you Deku" he laughed "this is what you deserve. This is the day you came into the world and ruined our lives. Think about what you've done. Maybe if I'm up for it I'll feed you today"

When he left I got out of my wet clothes. I felt sick to my stomach seeing my body. I was barely being fed and I was basically see through. All of my bones were noticeable and I had scars from the years of physical abuse I face. My father gave me a second blanket last year so I wrapped myself in my blankets and tried my best to silence my cries. My body hurt and i cried until the some came up because that's when I drifted to sleep

Kirishima's POV (6 months later)

I'm in the bathroom washing my face because I just finished crying my eyes out. It's been 6 months since we got this new mark and everyday we could tell our mate was in pain. We still haven't found them. By now we all knew that our mate was being abused. There is no other way it would flicker every day multiple times a day. Whenever it happened we all went our separate ways. Shoto would start playing the piano to distract himself but he wasn't fooling anyone because the songs he played were heartbreaking.

Eventually Denki just stopped being so affectionate. He became more cold towards all of us because he felt guilty. Since he was the eldest it's likely that his mark was the one that signified our mate was an Omega. 

It's likely that the abuse started the moment Denki turned 18. One of the happiest days of our lives was probably the start of one of the worst days for our Omega. 

Bakugo became more violent. He was always exploding things. He has been constantly yelling at all of us and since the new mark appeared the same night as his, that meant our mates had the same birthday. Here he was looking forward to soul bonding and sex on his birthday while at the same time our mate was most likely being going to get abused. We always had a huge party for him but he felt guilty because we all know that our mate didn't have that.

I got out of the bathroom and I saw Endeavor. He is my mate's father and I could tell he was concerned.

"Kirishima come here please" he asked 

I walked over to him. "Can I see your arm?" He asked me to show him my arm and he was relieved.

"What's the matter" I asked 

"All Might found another omega but when he was traveling with her she passed away in the car. Most likely due to starvation" He explained "If this was your mate your mark would have faded."

I clenched my teeth. We found 9 Omegas in the last 6 months and they either died on their way here or died while in the infirmary. The abuse these people face made me sick to my stomach. "Thank you for letting me know" I said

I walked back to the study room where all my mates were. By the look on my face they could tell something was wrong.

"What's the matter?" Shoto asked

"All Might found an omega" their eyes lit up "But she died on her way here"

"What the fuck is wrong with people" Bakugo yelled

"Language" Shoto mutter

"Listen here half and half, don't tell me what the fuck to say. I'm just sick of this shit. People keep abusing these Omegas. Meanwhile we're stuck in this shitty house while our mate is probably somewhere dying" he yelled

"Hey don't scream at Shoto" Denki yelled

"I can do what the hell I want. This is all your fault. You're the oldest here. Your mark is the reason our mate is getting hurt"

"You think I don't know that. You think I don't feel like shit. I'm the reason our mate is hurting. I'm supposed to take care of them but my stupid fucking mark is the reason for all this" He yelled

"Stop!" Shoto yelled. "Seriously no one is to blame except the person that is hurting our mate. We've all been on edge since we got this mark. I can't remember the last time Denki gave me a damn hug, Bakugo you haven't said a nice word to me in months and Kirishima doesn't even sleep in the same bed as us anymore"

"I haven't been able to. I keep crying and want to wake anyone up. Excuse me for being considerate" I yelled 

"The point is we need to change. We're all a goddamn mess. When we find our mate they aren't going to want us. We're supposed to be their safe place but with all of this going on there's no way we can properly take care of them"

"You're right Shoto. We all need to be better. Our mate is going to need us" I sighed "let's get the preparations ready for the Omega girl."

Since the first Omega we found died we've laid each of them to rest. They didn't have easy lives but the least we could do was make sure that they had a respectable funeral.
