As you all got to the restaurant you could tell it was already going to be pricey, "Yeash you guys went here all the time?! How?!" you asked looking at them, both looked at each other and 049 smirked, "What was that? Whatever-" you said rolling your eyes and walked into the glowing restaurant holding 049 and 035's hands. As 035 talked to the waitress 049 whispered to you, "Y/N, what do I do?" you looked at him confused before he pointed to 035, "I've never really dated before so I have no clue as to what to do." you looked and smiled, "I've got you doc, maybe try flirting with masky and see where things go from there." he nodded and you both followed as they both started walking to the table and sat down and whispered to 049, "Think of something that you think is sweet about him. I don't know his smile or anything like that." you whispered back as 035 waved to the waitress when she walked away, "So..." 035 said as he looked at 049 and winked- somehow, "I uh 035 you look nice today!" 049 said back, "Oh I can tell you're bad at this already." 035 said as he laughed, you cleared your throat and whispered to 049, "Yo just be nice. Say like uh, The goo really brings out his smile?" 049 looked at you then back to 035 and said, "The black liquid that flows from your eyes really brings out your smile!" 035 looked back at 049, "Aw really? Thank you." he said then you heard a voice you could recognize, "Oh no." you were saw that your mother and she was now your waiter, "What are you doing here with these two...monsters?!" she snapped at you loudly, making other people turn their heads, "We're just having a night out!" you snapped back at her and stood up, "And you are NOT going to ruin that!" you told her, "And they are NOT monsters! You've never met them!" you said as 049 stood up and made you sit down as he apologized and asked for a new waiter, "Y/N what was that?!" 049 said as he sat back down, "I-I'm sorry, she called you a monster and it just sl-" you were cut off by 049 hugging you, "Y/N there are just some people who don't get me and 035. And they never will." as you heard 049 say '035' you thought of something you never got to ask, "Wait, why are you called 049 and him 035?" 049 looked at 035 and back at you, "we'll talk about that after dinner.."

As 049 paid for dinner you had thoughts running through your head about what the number stood for, "Y/N let go." you heard 035 say as he stood up and waved to you to get up, as you stood up 049, 035, and you walked back home speechless. As you all got to 049's cabin and walked inside you asked the same question, "What does the number stand for?!" 049 and 035 ignored you and both went to get into normal clothing and came back, "Y/N do we really need to talk about that?" 049 said with a hint of anger, "Yes! We do have to talk about it! If I'm gonna live with you two I need to know!" you said sitting down, "Y/N we dislike talking about it." 035 said sitting next to you, "I. Want. To. Know!" you yelled making 035 flinch a little, "Fine! It's a long story though..." 049 said sitting down near you, "Remember the people shooting at us? And 'big al' and '106'? Well, we were like inmates...just a prison for 'monsters' called S.C.P." you started to feel dizzy from shock...your mother would talk about your father's job called 'The S.C.P foundation' and how it held 'nasty monsters and freaks' and how 'you should of bin sent there'.You put your head on 035's shoulder making him censured, "Y/N?! Are you okay?" he said looking at you and you whispered back, "My father worked there..." 035 and 049 both shared a look and then looked back at you, "Do you know what they called him?" 049 asked, "No mother never talked too much about his job, she said 'it was top secret'." 049 got up and pulled you up, "035 stay here, I'll be back." 049 said as he pulled you into the hallways and then toa locked door you never saw, "Come here, did you ever hear of 'SCP-049?" you started feeling dizzy, "Y-Yes father talked of it nonstop saying t-that he 'killed' p-people looking for a cu-" you stop yourself and looked at 049 and backed up with wide eyes and he sighed, "So now you get it." you looked behind you to where 035 was sitting and leaned against the wall and started sliding down, "A-And he's SCP-035 r-right?" 049 nodded and he helped you up as you looked at him. He held your hand and unlocked the door and walked in with you, you were greeted by a smell...a smell strong as death, "Doc! W-Why?!" he looked at you as his eyes glowed the golden yellow, "Because, I must. I was brought into this world for one reason and one reason only, to cure life of The Pestilence." he said as you ran your fingers on a table covered in blood and a glowing green liquid as thoughts ran threw your head but you came to one that you wanted to say aloud, "May I-I help?" 049 looked at you surprised, "Wait what? You wanna help me?! I thought humans hated this!" you looked at him and sighed, "Well I have a feeling if I were to not help you and 035 would just kill me..." 049 goes over to you and looks at you, "I would never! You are more helpful than you think Y/N." you looked at him confused as he backed up, "I knew your father... And your mother...isn't your birth mother." you looked at 049 with wide eyes, "WHAT?!" he looked at you and sighed, "I lied about never knowing your father...Your father was a great man...It's so upsetting he had The Pestilence..." you looked at him with anger, "THERE IS NO 'PESTILENCE'! ITS FAKE!" you snapped at him, "Y/N you have no idea what the sickness has done..." you backed up as he started coming closer and an idea popped in your head, "You said you wouldn't kill me right?!" he nodded, "You have much to learn, I need to teach you what your father never got to teach you." as he said that you took off the ring and smirked, "Last time I didn't have the ring on I almost died, right? And I also know that if you touch someone they'll die, so now you can't touch me!" he backed up picking up the ring, "Y/N I'm not going to hurt you. I need to teach you! Your father said I must!" you looked at him right in the eyes, "Teach me what?! How to kill people?!" 049 shook his head and put his hand out, "No! The reason your mother dislikes you! Because you're an SCP!" you fell on the floor with wide eyes and looked up, "I'm a-a SCP?" 049 nodded, "You were a class safe...so they let your father take you home...And as I was curing him he said, ' Please, tell Y/N the truth when they get older'..." you kept looking up at him and teared up, "S-So I AM a monster?" 049 kneeled in front of you and shook his head, "Y/N you are nowhere close to being a monster! Monster don't open them self to people, and they don't cry...not saying you're a monster but please don't cry..." he said as he slipped the ring back onto you and wiped your tears away, "But if I'm a S.C.P does that mean i have a power of some sort?" 049 nodded, "I knew you and your father before he was cured...he said something about 'fire' or something of the sorts." you looked at your hands and went wide eyed, "I have fire powers?! Cool!" you put your hands up and smiled slightly, "How do I use them?" 049 looked at you and shrugged, "no clue, how about we find out?"

~time skip~

You and 049 are now outside, you changed into shorts and a t-shirt so you could move around, "Y/N i feel this is a bad idea...i live in the woods- what if it catches fire?" 049 said looking around and then at 035 coming out of the cabin, "Oh doc we'll be fine-" you said as you looked at your hands, "If i have fire powers why was i a class safe?" you said as you looked at 049, "I'm guessing because you didn't know how to use them yet. Or because your father listed you as safe out of pity" he said tapping his chinn still looking at 035 playing with his clothing, he quickly looked back at you looking flustered, "A-Anyway.." you looked at him and smirked, "Go doc, I'll be fine." he nodded and walked to 035 fixing his mask on his face to hide his blush, "Okay, let's see..." you said as you looked at your hands again, "I'll start small.." you said picking a moss covered stick and threw it away and picked up another stick which was not covered in moss and placed it down and pointed your palms at it and closed your eyes to see your father smiling at you, "Y/N WATCH OUT!" you heard 049 and 035 yell before feeling a blast of heat and wind blow at you making you bang into the house, "Y/N are you okay?!" 049 said as he rushed to you and bent down to eye level, "I-I'm fine, thanks." you said as you pulled yourself up and looked at a pile of ash where the stick was, "Bravo! Bravo! That was amazing!" 035 said as he walked to you clapping, "thanks-" you said slightly smiling at him, "Okay...I'm gonna go see if i can get a smaller flame..." you said as you walked back to the place you were standing, "Be careful!" 035 said as he walked in the house with 049 running in and coming out, "Y/N before you do...that...again when i met your father he would record his thoughts and such and i thought you should record your thoughts and how you did...that...!" 049 said as he handed you a voice recorder and tilted his head like he was smiling, "Also when you're ready I have someone you might want to meet." he said as he walked away before you could say anything. You got in the same stand and looked at the recorder and suddenly heard a man's voice, "You know, that was mine." you turned around quickly, "Who was that?!" you yelled out, "Oh, right you were only a child.." the voice said as you felt an ice-cold hand on your shoulder, you slowly turned around to see nothing, "Come out!" you yelled, shooting your head around, "I'm afraid I can't do that." the voice said in a calm matter, "All I can say for now is that you know me..." the voice said as it faded away slowly, "Y/N are you okay?!" 049 said bent over with 035 frownings still standing, you looked around to see yourself on the floor laying down. "W-What happened?" you said trying to push yourself up but fell down again, "You were setting a fire and was blasted back and hit your head." 049 said looking at your head, he touched your head and looked at his fingers and sighed, "I don't sense anything wrong, please be careful!" you kept looking around and saw the recorder next a pile of ash, "You said there was someone i had to meet..." you said looking back at 049, "I don't recall saying that...at least out loud." he said tilting his head slightly, "So there IS someone you want me to meet? Is it one of the ones who helped us?" you said resting your head on the floor, "It's too soon to meet the-" you cut him off, "I want...need... to meet them." you said sitting up as 049 shook his head sighing, "As you wish...but after you learn your power." he said helping you up from the floor and picked up the recorder, "H-How did you get this?!" he said looking at you, "You gave it to me!" you said in a confused voice, "I did no such!" he said handing you the recorder, "Y-You did though! You said it was my father's!" you said to 049 as he looked at you, "I-I didn't give you that, but yes...it was your father's, how did you know that? You were only a child when i...nevermind that." you looked at him and frowned, "Then it was all a dream?" you said touching your shoulder where the voice touched you, "Yes, all a dream..." 049 said, fixing his mask, "I should get back to training." you said before 049 grabbed your arm, "No. You need to meet the two." he said looking you in the eyes, "We leave now." he said dragging you with him, "W-Wait who?" you said shaking his grip away from your arm, "The two who helped us." you said looking forward and turning into town, "First, SCP-079." he said pulling you into a building painted with vines and moss, as you both walked in you smelt burt...something and dead air, "Old al! It's 049!" 049 called out, shortly after the lights came on and a buzzing sound filled the room, "Hello, SCP-049." said a voice from everywhere in the room, "I have them with me." 049 said holding your hand as you tried to touch a wire coming out of the floor, "Oh, hello Y/N. I am SCP-079."
