Colorful Drop's Birthday

Happy 11th Birthday, Candace!

Judai: Well, it looks like I'll be doing another birthday one-shot today. Hope you guys enjoy!

The date was July 1st, 2020. Candace Dawning [Colorful Drop] was with her parents eating breakfast in the dining room.

Colorful Drop: Mommy, Daddy, after breakfast, can I chat with some friends?

Mrs. Dawning: Of course, birthday girl!

Mr. Dawning: Are you finished, Candace?

Colorful Drop: Yes, Daddy.

Mr. Dawning: Go see your friends then.

Colorful Drop: I love you, Daddy!

Mr. Dawning: I love you too, birthday girl.

Candace skipped over to the computer, where she got on Zoom and brought up her friends.

Cheerful Candy: Happy birthday, Candace!

Colorful Drop: Thank you, Chelsea!

School Jersey: How old are you going to be?

Colorful Drop: 11.

Fairy Macaron: 11? Wow. You're growing up fast.

Sweet Pudding: She is. She's even younger than the 'savior' of Negi Root City.

Colorful Drop: How old is he?

Cheerful Candy: He's 12. But he'll be 13 in a few months.

Colorful Drop: Oh. What do you guys think? Is he doing a good job of being the savior?

School Jersey: I think so. He's saved us all from 2 killing games during the first half of the year.

Fairy Macaron: I still don't know the full story.

Sweet Pudding: Me neither.

School Jersey: The first killing game was hosted by Theodore. You remember him, right?

Fairy Macaron: I think I do.

Sweet Pudding: He's that baku guy, right?

School Jersey: Yep. He killed every Miku, Rin, and Len module except for Ciel in the most brutal ways possible. I remember I was almost cut in half.

Colorful Drop: I was strangled, I think.

Cheerful Candy: I don't remember how I died. Probably the same as you, Candace.

Fairy Macaron: Glad we weren't a part of it.

Sweet Pudding: And what about the second killing game?

Cheerful Candy: We were all harassed and killed by Pathos, a vampire Len module.

Fairy Macaron: A vampire? Seriously?

School Jersey: Yep. But both Ciel and Hougetsu saved us. And I guess that's how Ciel got his title of savior of Negi Root City.

Cheerful Candy: I never would've imagined a person like Ciel having so much power.

Colorful Drop: Well, I think it's because of his dead sister that he has all these reviving abilities.

Fairy Macaron: You mean Soleil? Oh, the poor girl...

Sweet Pudding: I remember that she made paintings for every module. Even the non-game ones. She was really talented.

Cheerful Candy: She was. I still miss her, even though she died months ago.

Colorful Drop: Can we not talk about Soleil anymore? You're making me tear up.

Cheerful Candy: Right. My bad.

School Jersey: Speaking of Ciel, I heard that he's in the hospital right now.

Sweet Pudding: He is? With what?

Fairy Macaron: Hopefully not the coronavirus. With people like Ciel having all these health problems, he's at a high risk.

School Jersey: No. He just has a high fever.

Colorful Drop: Poor Ciel. I hope he's okay.

School Jersey: He's actually going to be released tomorrow.

Cheerful Candy: That's good.

School Jersey: He probably sent you a text, Candace. Make sure you check it out when you're done talking to us.

Colorful Drop: I will.

Cheerful Candy: Well, we better get going. Have a happy birthday, Candace.

Colorful Drop: Thanks again, Chelsea. Thanks, everybody.

Fairy Macaron, Sweet Pudding, Simon, and Chelsea signed off from the chat. Candace went to check her phone. Sure enough, there was a message from Ciel that says: "Happy 11th birthday, Candace. Sorry I couldn't chat with you today. I have a pretty bad fever. But I'm slowly getting better and I'll be released tomorrow afternoon."

Colorful Drop: "That's okay, Ciel. Hope you feel better soon."

She put her cell phone away and went back downstairs to see her parents and to open presents and have some cake.

Judai: This was pretty fun to write. I love Colorful Drop so much, and I also love how Allison's friend Tammy made her so young. She definitely looks younger than 16. Anyway, I hope you enjoyed this one-shot. And that means there's only 1 Miku module left that needs her birthday one-shot. Hopefully Tammy can deal with that. Sayonara!
