Glassy Sky

As I gazed towards the blue sky
with a mixture of sadness and joy
seeing those white fortresses fly
while heaving  intermittent sighs

Takes me back to a decade ago
Lying down on the shiny floor
taking a wistful look at the sky
while the clouds formed a misshapen dragonfly

Whiling away the whole afternoon
As the hot June bid adieu
Onwards set the monsoon
When the cloudy skies ensue

The day went slow , holidays renewed
Pre internet era, didn't had much to do
A place far away from city, the crowd
An aangan in center , a baramda around

The kid lying in the baramda is long gone
The world , the worries have caught on
Even though the decade comes to an end
He can't forget the memories he penned.
