Runaway

She sat in the living room penning down her farewell to her parents .Tracy, had a life with everything, but not enough according to her life's rule book, in which only one word was repeated again and again Freedom. She had a lovely family with her parents and a brother.

She loved them but not more than a free life. She had made up her mind that now it was time to leave the past and move on, even it was onerous she had to move on from her own biological family. She might even regret doing this, but she did not want to think about it.

She was never allowed to go over her friends place neither could call them at her's, no social media accounts and a big NO to be friends with boys and no birthday parties.

Every day she would get up, go to school come back attend tuition and after a short break would be back at her studying desk.

She did have friends but they all went out and she would always feel left out. Her family was never harsh on her but rather supportive and kind and for this reason she never questioned her parents.

She bore with all this through her childhood but now she was of a responsible age and now no one could change her determination to Runaway.

It was not that her family did not love her,... they were loving, caring but just too strict, maybe for her good but it was not acceptable to her. She craved freedom, she was born free so she would live free.

She had saved money from her holiday allowance and from her part time job she did, not long ago.

Dear Mom and Dad

" I am sorry but all I asked in my life was freedom but you people despite loving me kept me in a cage it might have been for my safety but I was just a girl who wanted to live her life. I know you were going to give me freedom now but it's too late.

You lost me and my love long before I wrote this. We lived in the same house, I had become an insomniac and you never noticed.

I might regret my decision but I will never come back. I hope you do not come looking after me because today I break all my ties with you.

Sorry if this letter is hurting but facing the bitter truth is hard. This is last time you will hear from me, I request for your better and mine too to ......forget me.
Good Bye

This is all that she wrote in her farewell letter.

She stepped out her house,... no longer her house just her childhood house (maybe not even a place she could call home).

Leaving the place, her parents and her past behind, she walked to the bus station, trying her best not to look back because if she did it would be impossible for her to leave.
