THE HEAD OFFICE

JAPAN-IKARA TAKAHASHI

It was a beautiful day in Kyoto. Surprisingly, nobody came to destroy Ikara's mood today. Normally, she would get useless questions from her employees. But today, it was peaceful in her office because it was her birthday.

She hoped that her workers would do this every day, but, it was her workers after all. She lives a good life. She doesn't have anyone to lose. She never even saw her parents and was taken by the orphanage. But the orphanage couldn't handle her and left her on her own when she was 15.

She lives in a small apartment. She used to work as an employee in her company, but later, the owner made her the Managing Director. She takes Karate classes, for self-defense. But recently, she got a burn mark on her left neck.

But she never wanted to think of it. She is the richest student in her college. Many guys run after her. But she doesn't have any interest in 'love'. All her employees think that she's a rebel, tattoo and all. Also, today was the last day of her college.

Ikara's classmate asked her if he could work in her company, she told yes,

Sometime earlier 

"Ikara-chan, can I-I work in your company?" Kaito stammered,

"What has gotten into you?" Ikara asked with a confused look, it's because Kaito never had an interest in working,

"Just a sudden urge to start w-working," He said as if 'working was a new word,

"Sure! Be in my office today at 5 pm," Ikara said,

Kaito nodded and ran away jumping with glee. Ikara just shook her head thinking something was fishy and walked away. Ikara went to her car, put on her suit, and started her car. On the way to her office, she bought coffee. 

She parked her car in the basement of the building and made her way towards the lift. She went up. The lift opened,

"Konichiwa, Takahashi-san," Ikara's employee said, bowing her head,

"Konichiwa Aiko, what's today's schedule?" Ikara asked,

"Nothing much, someone came to meet you," Aiko said,

Ikara nodded and walked away. She opened the door to her office and saw Kaito sitting on the chair in front of hers. He stood up and bowed to her. Ikara waved to him telling him to sit down,

"So?" He asked,

"So, here you are. I thought you were joking," Ikara said,

Kaito grinned,

"I'm serious from now on!" He said,

"Very well, you will meet Aiko next to the door, she'll tell you what to do," Ikara said,

"Got it!" He said and stood up and almost fell,

Ikara tried her best to keep a straight face and waved him outside,

"Sorry!" He said and continued to walk towards the door.

After he left, Ikara started to giggle. She opened the drawer and looked at her old photo. A week passed, Ikara is now very scared. The tattoo on her neck is like a bad luck charm that radiates death. But besides that, everything's going well, except that her office is now blown into pieces.

She works in her home now and her employees work in theirs. She was doing her work when she got a call,

"Ikara-chan!" Kaito said through the phone,

"What happened?" Ikara asked,

"Can we meet?" He asked slowly,

"Huh?! What? Why? Where?" Ikara asked,

"Nothing, just for fun. I want to talk to you, meet you in the park," He said,

Before Ikara could object, he cut the phone,

"UGHH! This guy," Ikara muttered and sighed,

She got dressed and left early. Ikara felt a connection with him, but she was too scared to even think about it. She thought of all the probabilities of why Kaito would want to meet her. But sadly, Kaito was the type of person who doesn't take stuff like work seriously.

She went down through the stairs, she doesn't trust the lift. She went to the park nearby, hoping that this was the one he wanted to go to. She sat on top of a small hill. She saw Kaito coming, she stood up and started waving vigorously.

Kaito stopped and saw her and started running towards her. He stopped right in front of her,

"Oh, hey," He said scratching the back of his head.

"So?" Ikara asked,

"Shall we?" Kaito said gesturing forward,

Ikara started walking with Kaito. They talked for sometime, about how much they missed their old classmates. Kaito looked at his watch,

"Woah! It's been so long since we started to talk, you hungry?" He asked,

Ikara blushed,

"Sure!" She said and followed him.

They entered Kaito's car and drove off. Ikara kept catching a glimpse of Kaito and mistakenly met eyes with him. Kaito looked straight right after eye contact, so did Ikara. She slowly moved her hands towards his, and caught it.

Kaito stopped the car on the side of the road and met eyes with her,

"Umm, Ikara?" He asked,

"Yes?" She said,

"Do yo-you want to g-go out with me?" He managed,

"Aren't we already going out?" She asked,

"Yes, right!" He said and continued driving,

Ikara started giggling, which later ended up in a laugh. Kaito joined her. He stopped in front of a restaurant. Ikara got out and sighed,

"You nostalgic idiot!" She said,

Kaito let out a laugh while smirking. It was the restaurant Ikara and her classmates would go to after their classes. They spent a lot of good times here. Ikara longed to come here, but she forgot the location.

They found a seat and sat there. They ordered their food. They still kept talking about their times while they were in college. That's how many good times they had,

"Remember when Shin threw mud at Helen, the exchange student?" Ikara asked,

"Yeah! Her parents had to take her back to America!" Kaito said as he laughed.

They had food and went out of the restaurant. They saw a couple kissing. Kaito looked at her hopefully,

"Later," Ikara said as she got into the car.

Kaito sighed and entered the car,

"Want to get dinner today?" Ikara asked,

"Sure, just wear something date-like." Kaito said,

Ikara laughed and elbowed his arm. He drove off to her apartment.

Night time,

Ikara got dressed and went downstairs. She waited in the lobby, waiting for his car to come by. She kept glancing at the clock and sighed. After sometime, a white SUV stopped in front of the doors. Kaito got out and gestures her towards him.

She went out and held his hands. They stared at each other's eyes and slowly leaned in for a kiss. Ikara closed her eyes as she leaned forward.

HONK*

A truck came and hit Ikara's right body. Her bones, now powder. She went flying towards the road.

"Ika-" Kaito fainted.
