CHAPTER 1: ATTRACTION

Y/N's POV

I felt the cold breeze hit my face as I walked broken-hearted. I never saw the betrayal coming from my best friend.

Flashback

Y/N: Jake get away from me! You're my best friend's boyfriend. You can't do this.

Jake: It's fine as long as she doesn't see us, right?

I raised my hand to slap the smirk off his face, but Somi's face flashed before my eyes and I found myself withdrawing my hand back. But I lost it when he started touching me in my private areas. I grabbed his hand twisting it behind his back.

Something clicked in me and I punched him on his face. His groans snapped me to reality and I walked away from him as fast as I could. I didn't regret hitting him one bit, but I was still confused as to why my best friend was still with a scumbag like him. 

The next day-

Somi was giving me the cold shoulder. She was avoiding every eye contact I tried to make with her. I just assumed the idiot told her about the whole breaking his nose situation. I finally had enough so I dragged Somi to the restroom the next time I spotted her near me.

Y/N: Did he tell you what happened?

Somi: Yes. Look Y/N I know he's a f**kboy but I still love him. I get that you're trying to protect me, but I think it would be better if we just break this friendship.

I couldn't believe what I had just heard.
"Did she just break our friendship because I looked out for her?"

I was soon called to the principal's office and got a week's suspension for what I did. The principal didn't even listen to my explanation. Apparently, Jake is his son. Who knew.

So that night I went out drinking to wash everything away and here we are.

End of flashback

I was too drunk to notice a big truck coming at my direction with full speed, until in a flash of light I found myself on the opposite side of the street and somebody's voice talking to me.

???: Hey! Hey! Are you ok???

The voice blurred as I blacked out.
