CHAPTER 3: IMPRESSION

Y/N POV

"Finally", I murmured  as i stood in front of my first class. I took a long deep breathe and stepped inside the classroom, as all eyes fell on me. I couldn't make eye contact with anybody so i just found myself a window seat and sat down. I was trying to calm my anxiety down when i felt a tap on my shoulder.

"Hey, are you new here? I've never seen you before.", the girl said standing in front of me.

"Uh, yea. I just got transferred to this school", i replied awkwardly. This girl was clearly an extrovert and a very loud one at that.

"I'm Daisy. What's your name?" she asked.

"Y/N. Kim Y/N."

"That's a very unique name. I've never heard of a name like that before." she said as she sat down on an empty seat beside me. "Y/N, if you ever need any help or have a hard time, you can come talk to me okay?" she said as she gave me a warm smile.

I only nodded and gave her a slight smile. "That's very nice of you daisy, thanks" 

Just then the professor walked in. He set his books down and started scanning the room. His eyes stopped when he met mine and there it was. "We have a new student today. Please come up here and introduce yourself new kid"

"Shit I hope I don't mess this up or they're gonna laugh at me", I thought as I nervously got up and walked to the front of the classroom. I started introducing myself as clearly as I could not even sparing a glance at the people in front of me"

???'s thoughts; Tsk look at her fidgeting. Why is she so nervous over a simple introduction. Also why do I even care anyway?

I released a long sigh as I started walking back to my seat. "Thank god that's over". Daisy gave me a reassuring nod as I sat down next to her. The day carried on like that and it was already lunch time. I was walking around the big cafeteria scanning for an empty table. Everybody was looking at me as I passed by each table with no luck. Luckily Daisy called out my name and invited me to her table.  

I thanked her and sat down with them. The other girls introduced themselves as Lia and Claire. Daisy excused herself saying she was going to bring everyone their food. "Well now this is awkward.", I thought to myself. But that didn't last very long because the girls started talking to each other.

"Did you see Jimin today? God he is so fine", Lia's eyes sparkled as she stared into space probably thinking about him"

"I know right? He's just so breathtaking", Claire added smiling from ear-to-ear.

I rolled my eyes mentally. Girly gossips. All the boy obsession suddenly reminded me of the only boy I ever got involved with, Jake. I lost all my appetite just thinking about him and all the awful things he had done.

"What's wrong Y/N? You look pale." Lia asked me, signs of worry in her face.

"Oh it's nothing. I'm gonna excuse myself. I'm really sorry guys." I started getting my things together and rushed out as fast as i could. "God i feel suffocated". I could hear Daisy calling my name and asking me where i was going but I needed some fresh air. "Sorry Daisy, I don't feel good. I'll meet you in class", i said and went out.

???: She's sick huh?

After a lot of searching, I finally found the garden. The sweet smell of the garden flowers calmed me down. Nature has always been my escape in situations like this, my safe place. I laid with my back on the soft grass. I closed my eyes shut and started singing a song my mother would sing for me when I was upset. It made me remember her warm embrace.

Out of nowhere somebody joined me, singing the same song. His voice was so soothing, so sweet, it felt like I would start melting. I could've opened my eyes but his company made me feel so safe, i didn't want it to end.

I finally opened my eyes but saw no one. I felt a bit disappointed but decided to just brush it off. Some things are better unexplored. But how did he disappear so fast, I thought to myself. I started feeling tired and dozed off before i could stop myself.

"OMFG!! HOW COULD I HAVE SLEPT FOR 2 HOURS!?!?", I panicked as I checked the time after finally waking up. I ran to my class and barged through the door making it fly open. Everybody flinched and stared at me as I stood there trying to catch my breath.

???: Damn she sure is a heavy sleeper...

The professor cleared his throat, turning everybody's attention towards him. "Why are you half an hour late to my class Ms. Y/N?" He looked at me, patiently waiting for my answer.

I started stuttering, struggling to find the right words when somebody did it for me. "She wasn't feeling well so I took her to the infirmary. She was told to leave after 2 hours." I looked up to see Daisy winking at me. I gave her a smile and mouthed thank you as I sat down. "Now don't go around thinking I did this for free. You owe me one" she said. I rolled my eyes at her and we both chuckled.

After the class was over, Daisy started an interrogation session asking me all kinds of questions. "No way you actually fell asleep in the school garden for two hours straight. Why didn't anybody wake you up?" she said in disbelief. I just shrugged, "I'm used to being left alone, it's nothing new for me." The air suddenly got tense after I said that but Daisy changed the topic fast.

"Also remember you owe me one. In return of the help, i want you to go to a party Claire's brother is hosting with me. I'm not taking no for an answer." 

I hated parties. I never got the point of it either. Also crowded places give me so much anxiety. I tried to object but Daisy started covering her ears with my hands and blabbering gibberish.

"Fine", I replied. Just this once.

I feel like this ep was short but I'll try to make
