(Hyemi's Pov)

"Are you sure you want to collaborate with this doofus?" Yoongi pointed at Jungkook who looked like a puppy begging it's owner to take it on a walk. "Jungkook has a unique voice that would compliment my own. I feel like the two of us can work on an amazing song together." Yoongi uncrossed his arms and sighed. "Do as you wish. Don't warn me when you get tired of him." Jungkook gave him a bitter stare. "Hyung!" It was as if Yoongi was his parent that told him no candy for a week. I could only giggle at their behavior. "Anyway, I'll be on my way. Text me if you need help." Yoongi then walked out of the studio, not sparing a glance at Jungkook. "Hyemi-ssi what type of song would you like to work on?" Again that innocent look took over his features. I just wanted to squish his cheeks but reminded myself to be professional. "Why don't we take a seat and brainstorm some ideas?" The two of us sat down at the closest table grabbing one of Yoongi's yellow notepads to write in. "We should do a song that has to do with love. Many of our fans would love that." I nodded in agreement before writing down the bullet point 'LOVE SONG'. "Jungkook-ah."

Jungkook hummed still deep in thought. "Most of our songs hold meaning right?" He nodded, wanting me to continue my words. "We shouldn't write your typical love song. What if we wrote about a love that's ended but both still yearn for each other." Jungkook's eyes lit up once I finished my thought. "That's perfect! Should we start thinking of lyrics right now?" I looked down at my phone which read 9:57 pm. "We should call it quits for today. I know we barely started but It's getting late." Jungkook nodded as the two of us gathered our things. We headed out of Yoongi's studio and noticed that barely anyone was in the building. Jungkook and I made our way to the front of the building and noticed that it was pouring outside. "It looks like we won't be able to catch a taxi out there." Jungkook ruffled his hair frustrated at our situation. "Isn't your dorm nearby?" Jungkook nodded but still had a displeased expression painted on his face. "Yeah but what about you? You would get soaked when you arrive at your house." I sighed and shrugged my shoulders slightly. "I'll try to run to the convenience store and grab an umbrella. Goodbye Jungkook, I'll see you soon so we can start writing the song." I put on my black face mask and pulled up my hood. I gave him a wave before opening the door and running in the rain.

Soon enough I arrived at the convenience store, my clothes wet but not completely soaked. I looked at both sides of the road, sighing when there still weren't any available taxis. A part of me wished for Jungkook to be here. I did have a small crush on him so this collaboration was one of my favorites. (Alongside Yoongi's) I sighed, shaking all those thoughts out of my head before reaching out to pull open the door. "Hyemi!" I heard a faint voice call out for me. I thought I was hearing things but I heard them call my name. I turned around and saw a breathless Jungkook. "Finally I caught up with you." He pulled down his face mask before panted heavily as he ruffled his wet hair. "Jungkook? What are you doing here?" Jungkook pointed at the door signaling for us to get into the store before talking. He closed the door behind us and looked around. "I wanted to walk you home. I would feel guilty if I didn't." My eyes lit up with joy. He was such a gentleman. I didn't realize that I was staring at him until he broke the silence between the two of us. "We should grab some umbrellas if you want to go home anytime soon." My cheeks tinted pink when I noticed that Jungkook was teasing me.

"Y-yeah." We headed near the register and looked at the umbrella rack. Unluckily for us, there was only one umbrella left. I took an umbrella out of its holder and looked at Jungkook. "There's only one..." Jungkook didn't respond, he only turned to the cashier and handed them a couple of bills. The cashier passed him a receipt back before bowing at him. "Come on let's go." I only stared at him dumbfounded until he grabbed my wrist and gently pulled me outside. "I'll walk you home and then use the umbrella to get home myself." He took the umbrella from me and opened it, placing it above his head. "Come." He gestured with his hand. I slowly made my way under the umbrella feeling shy. Jungkook then wrapped his arm around me before starting to walk. Thump. Thump. Thump. I could only hear the sound of my racing heart as the two of us were walking. "By the way where do you live?" I was taken out of my trance as we came to a sudden halt. "O-oh. I live over that way..." I pointed behind us as Jungkook's face turned pink probably from embarrassment. "Why didn't you tell me earlier?" He swiftly changed our direction. "You looked like you knew where you were going." I teased him, making him release a small grunt. The rest of the walk was filled with some small talk. Soon we made it in front of my apartment building. "Well, I'll see you soon then." He gave me an awkward wave before he turned around to walk to his dorm. As his figure disappeared in the distance I clenched my shirt. "What is this?" I whispered under my breath as my heart continued to pound at a face pace. Spending time with Jungkook felt different than when I collaborated with other artists like Yoongi. Sleep it off Hyemi. I nodded to myself before heading into the building.
