Chapter Two: Get Eaten By Sharks
Fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck.
I slowly turn around to see that I had accidentally hit a waiter bringing back empty glass coffee cups and one of the cups had fallen onto a man.
"Oh shit I am so so so so sorr-" I run up to the man to help him up but stop when look into his stormy blue eyes and I realize who it is.
Daniel. That little bitch.
He still looked the same as I left him.
His straight dirty blonde hair a little messy the way it would look when I used to run my hands through it. His thin pale lips pursed in a straight line.*He still looked as good as ever.*
I stand there frozen just staring at him, him staring back at me while holding his head, eyes wide. Well that was until someone pushed me out of the way.
"I am so sorry, please forgive us sir." My manager help pick him off the ground and sits him on one of the counter stools. Everyone was looking at this exchange but slowly turning back to whatever they were doing.
A bump was forming on his forehead there was a slightly deep cut above his left eye. One of my co-workers rushes up to us with a wet cloth and an ice bag. She hands him the bag of ice for the bump and wipes the blood off his cut making him wince.
I smirk in satisfaction of his pain and cross my arms. Ha, you asshole!
He glares back at me. "Oh you are lucky I am a very forgiving guy, and I know Neveah, always being a klutz and ruining things. A simple apology from her would be fine" he smirks up at me and I scoff.
Mr. Hamilton looks over to me. "You heard the man Neveah, apologize."
I hesitate before finally rolling my eyes and giving in. "Fine, sorry" I sneer out. I cross my arms and glare back at him, trying to hex him or something.
Daniel turns back to Mr. Hamilton with a suggestive look. "You know I don't think her service here is very welcoming. She seems to scare away costumers actually. I actually wanted to speak to you about something Neveah."
"Well I don't want to talk to you, and lucky for you I was just about to quit" I storm over to the door. "I hope you all get eaten by sharks!" I say rather loudly giving them the finger while I walk out.
Wow, that was rather embarrassing. I feel like I just threw a toddler tantrum. I couldn't help it after seeing Daniel again after so long. A rush of emotions came back. Damn I miss him. I could feel the tears welling up in my eyes as I rush back to the dorms.
I run through the door and up the stairs to my floor then slam my room door. "Calm down Nev, doors life's matter too you know" Jasmine looks up from her phone and sees the tears running down my cheeks and rushes over to me engulfing me into a hug.
She drags me over to my bed and sits down next to me. "Okay whatever happened I'm pretty sure it's not worth your tears, either way I'm right here when you're read-"
She couldn't even finish her sentence before I started ranting. "I can't believe I just saw that son of a bitch. What the fuck is he doing here last time I checked he was in Chicago. Now he just decides to show up out of nowhere and go to get coffee from my job, and then he has the fucking audacity to say he wants to fucking talk to me. Like no bitch I do not want to talk to you. I swear I could've just slapped him right then and there. And now I'm fired from my job and I'm already banned from going back to half of the other jobs in this city and I don't know how I'm going to make money. Like I can't just go back to my dad and ask him for money, I made it pretty clear that I wanted nothing to do with him and Stephanie and either way the man is an asshole the last thing I want now is to see or talk to him. I just don't know what to do Jaz."
