"Get up! Now! It's time for work." Kindred groaned and Brenna sat up, "Good morning my dear sister." Kindred couldn't understand how Brenna always woke up with the happy smiley face she always did. Kindred and Brenna were both 17, both worked at the local convenient store, attached since birth, but they had two completely different personalities and looks.
Kindred had long, blonde hair, that when she woke up, looks crazy on top of her head. Brenna, on the other hand, had kind of short, brown choppy hair that looked fabulous all the time. When she stood in the light just right you could see the red. Kindred nad Brenna had started out the same, but Kindred dyed her hair so much that now it was fried and crazy.
Want another difference? Brenna was good at everything! kindred, was klutzy, ad not very athletic, and the only reason Kindred was in with the "in" crowd was, because of Brenna.
"Good morning sister." Kindred like the nights and sometimes the days, but Brenna like ANYTIME of day. "Oh my, lok at the time. Ha, I better shower!" Kindred gave her sister a slight nod and then slumped back into bed. There's another 30 minutes I can sleep.

"How was your day at work?" It was dinner time at the quiet house of the Vinna's. "Slow." Kindred and Brenna answered together. Their mother smiled, "Well, only one more week of that before school starts." They flashed their mother a smile then flipped their hair in unison. They definitely had some things alike that they couldn't hide. The dinner conversation switched to Taylor, their little brother. He was 15 years old and could do not wrong.
Kindred had always been known as the quiet child, Brenna as the happy perky cheerleading type, and Taylor as the goody two shoes. It was just how the family worked. "By the way, I am gonna have to quit three days early, cheerleading tryouts next week." Brenna gave her dad a smile and he nodded, "Alright, I will talk to Claudia about it." Claudia ownded the little store and had for years.
After dinner, Brenna and Kindred often disappeared to their room. Tonight, just so happened to be one of those nights.
"So, how am I gonna get to and from work next week if you're going to have the truck?" Brenna looked at Kindred for a second. "Well, tryouts are at liek 10, so I can take you there, but you might want to find someone to pick you up." She picked up a pink shirt and held it to her tan body. She'd be at the pool a lot this summber, but Kindred instead sat in her room and read. "I will ask Seth if he can pick me up. He shouldn't mind..."
Kindred pulled out her phone and texted Seth. He had been their best friend ever since kindergarten and he was the star basketball player along with running track and cross country. Kindred had day dreamed about being with him, but it'd be weird and he'd never like someone like her. Anyways, he's going to leave this town as soon as he got the chance, while both Brenna and she wouldn't ever be able to leave.
Brenna spoke again bringing Kindred out of her trance. "You really need a tan girlie. I mean, you're as pale as a ghost."
"At least I don't look like a black person." Brenna shot Kindred a look and wakled over to her dresser. "Don't talk like that. Besides, it'd be mixed, not black."
"Either way, just stop pestering me." Kindred honestly didn't mean what she said, just got tired of Brenna's constant nagging. Brenna threw Kindred her night gown and grabbed her own. "Whatever, I am ready to go to bed. " As Brenna left the room, Kindred undressed. She loved her tight body. As she slipped into her gown she took her brush from her vanity and sat on her short stool. As she brushed her hair, she couldn't help, but to laugh.
Her blonde hair rwas shiny and straight, but she wasn't happy with it. Kindred hadn't felt tired, but now she felt drowsy. As Brenna entered the room, she left. They were as close as ever these days. And as nice as it was, Kindred couldn't help, but to think what was going to happen when all that changed. when they weren't always together and they could no longer depend on each other? Kindred pushed the thought out of her mind as she laid down.
"That'll never happen....It can't! she thought before dozing off.
