Harry's first day in Auradon went exactly as expected...rough. It got to a point where he couldn't go anywhere without one of the original VKs.
It all started when he walked in and noticed everyone staring at him. No one stared at Gil or Dizzy or even Uma! Uma tried to take over the kingdom, but apparently that doesn't cause as many whispers as stealing the king's girlfriend does. When he heard some guy, of course it had to be Peter Pan's kid, make a comment about Mal being an idiot for choosing Harry, that was when he snapped. Harry backed the boy against a wall, his hook mere inches from his throat. Before he could do anything, he was pulled back by Jay and Carlos.
After that, Fairy Godmother thought it would be best if he had someone with him, at all times. It wasn't too bad, though. Jay and Carlos were cool and accepting of their best friend's choice. Evie asked him way too many questions but even that wasn't too bad, especially when most were about Mal. And then when the dragon, herself, was with him, he wished their time together didn't end. Mal was a lot more lenient with the rules. She didn't care if he wanted to scare any of the freshman, and she would sneak out of class with him to spend some alone time together.
Those moments with Mal were better than Harry imagined. Sometimes, she'd take him to the beach or the forest to explore, and sometimes she'd take him back to her room so that they could talk about everything. Granted, those talks didn't exactly last too long before he had his lips attached to hers. He finally had her back. Why would he bother with waiting any longer? Of course, before anything further could happen, Evie always walked in. "It's like she has a bloody camera in here." He would always mutter.
For Harry's first weekend, Mal wanted to do something special. Since being back with Harry, she felt more free. She didn't feel like she had to be anyone else for him. It was a refreshing change from her time with Ben.
Mal knew that all Harry ever wanted was a bit of alone time with her. It wasn't purely for sexual reasons, though. They had spent so much time apart that they needed to be able to get to know each other all over again.
After finally convincing Fairy Godmother, Mal got permission to take Harry to one of the cabins not far from campus for the weekend. Just two days of seclusion from the world. She reasoned with Fairy Godmother, explaining that the weekend could help Harry getting used to the entirely different world of Auradon. Fairy Godmother reluctantly agreed and set everything up for them after giving Mal an Auradon version of "The Talk".
Mal walked down the hallway, happy to be out of that office. She didn't know how many more sex talks she could handle in one lifetime. Granted Fairy Godmother's was pretty entertaining. Mal wasn't surprised that most Auradonians had kids so young. Half of what the fairy told her was just beating around the bush. On the isle, they just told them how everything worked, what could happen, and it was done. None of that "When you find your one true love" bullshit.
On her way towards Harry's dorm, she felt someone pull her into an empty corridor. Harry smiled at her as he trapped her against the wall.
"Just the pirate I was looking for." She said happily.
Harry raised an eyebrow. "Do I want to know why?"
"I don't know. I just figured I'd let you know that I got permission from Fairy Godmother to get you out of here for the weekend. Just you and me. No one to bother us."
"You're joking."
Mal shook her head before kissing his lips gently. "There's a little cabin just off of campus. It's usually used for when parents come to visit from out of town, but it's ours for the weekend."
Harry trailed kisses along Mal's jawline, continuing down to her collarbone. "I think we can make that work."
Harry's head snapped around when he heard someone's footsteps from the other end of the corridor. "Who goes there?"
Ben awkwardly walked out of the shadows. "Sorry. I was, uh, working on some missed work in one of the empty classrooms. Didn't mean to, uh, interrupt."
"Yeah, you better be so-"
Mal placed her hand on Harry's arm to stop him. "It's alright, Ben. You weren't interrupting anything. We were just planning the weekend."
Ben nodded once. "Gotcha. Well, I hope you guys have a nice time doing whatever you have planned."
"Oh, we-"
"Thank you, Ben." Mal interrupted Harry again, worried about what would come out of his mouth next.
Once Ben was out of earshot, Mal turned back to Harry. "You just can't pretend to be nice, can you?"
"The man took you from me in more ways than one, Mal. Of course, I can't be nice to him."
Mal just rolled her eyes. "You have me back, though."
"Aye, and I'm never lettin' you go again." He said before pressing his lips against hers.
They stayed like that for a moment, just enjoying being with each other, until Mal finally pulled away. "You should get your things together. We leave tonight."
Harry groaned. "This better be worth it."
"Trust me," she laughed. "It will be."
Hi guys! Sorry for the short chapter! I just wanted to set something up for the next few. I promise, there is more to come.
