"Hey Asra, yeah I just met her she's my table mate in class." I explain to Asra as students continued to pass by us.

"That's cool, she's pretty nice. I've worked on some projects with her in the past." Asra said.

"Yeah, but she seems really busy." I said.

"Well, she is the class president. But don't worry, she's always ahead of things." He said and I nod slowly.

"So, where we headed off to?" I ask

"The library, it's where me and my friend usually hang out for nutrition." Asra said, walking off as I follow him.

"Does that means I get to meet your friend?" I question while smiling.

"Maybe later, he texted me saying he had to finish a project for his history class." Asra explained as we continued walking.

"Oh, alright." I said as he opened a door for me and I enter the school's library.

"Woah, this library is huge." I comment.

"It's bigger than most libraries high schools have." Asra said

"Oh! That reminds me, I have to find a reading book for English class. Would you mind helping me?" I ask.

"Sure, let's take a look." He says and we start walking through the endless bookshelves.

"What kind of books do you prefer?" Asra questions as he scans the bookshelves.

"Hmm, I suppose fiction with a little bit of everything. Some action, thriller, romance, keeps me on the edge of my seat you know?" I say.

"I get it, I'm the same way. I can't sit down and read a book about physics to save my life." He says, chuckling slight.

After scanning through the bookshelves for a second Asra pulls o it a thick chapter book.

"Why not read this?" Asra says, waving the book slightly as I take it from his hands.

"Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets?" I say, while looking at the book questionably.

"A classic obviously." He jokes.

"Maybe something that isn't as thick as my English homework packets." I say, putting the book back in its place on the shelf.

"Less pages, got it." Asra says as we continue to look for a reading book.

I find a small book and pull it out of its place. It's spine had the title written in hot pink that had faded and had a small crescent moon on it. I flip the book over to look at the cover. It had a picture of a girls face that was cut off at the spine, her most distinctive feature was her eye. It was a dark bluish purple while her skin was very pale. The title was again in hot pink it a crescent moon beside it. Marked.

"Find something interesting?" Asra questioned and he walked over to me and inspected the book

"Find something interesting?" Asra questioned and he walked over to me and inspected the book.

"Yeah, I found this. It looks interesting so the story should be good." I say.

"I've never read that book before, seems like something out of Twilight." He jokes, causing me to giggle.

"Let's go check it out for you." Asra says as he leads me away to the library counter.

Luckily no one was in line so I got in front of the counter. I saw a lady behind the desk, clicking her computer mouse as she stared at the large monitor before her.

"Are you ready to check out?" The lady questioned and I nodded quickly.

I placed my book down onto the counter and she slid it closer to her. She proceeded to scan it and stamp it. She had dark brown hair and deep gray eyes. Wearing thick round glasses with an orange overcoat.

"Do you have your student ID?" The woman questioned.

"I'm actually knew here so they haven't issued me an ID yet." I explain.

She sighed heavily and I look at her taken aback, did she just give me attitude?

"What's your last name?" She asks.

"L/N." I answer, feeling a bit uneasy.

"First?" The woman questioned hurriedly as she types at her computer.

"Y/N." I say, feeling a nervous sweat break out.

The librarian stops typing at her computer and scans the book again, closing it and sliding it over to me.

"It's due in 2 weeks, you can either renew it if you need more time or return it. If you don't return it you have to pay the fine." She explains.

"Thank you." I say, quickly picking up the book and walking over to Asra who was on his phone while waiting.

"All done?" Asra questions while pocketing his phone.

"Y-yeah." I reply, tucking the book under my arm.

"You okay? You seem a bit tense." He says, concerningly.

"Yeah just, the librarian seems a bit...snappy?" I say, questioning myself.

"Oh, Mrs. Soverin. Yeah, most of the teachers say she's really nice and helpful but from my experience she's the total opposite." Asra explains.

"Really?" I question.

"Yeah, it's like she hates teenagers or something." He says.

"Then why would she work at a high school?" I ask.

"That's exactly what I thought too." Asra says before being interrupted by the familiar school bell.

The students sitting at desks reading or doing their homework start getting up to leave and pack away their stuff.

"What's your next class?" Asra questions.

"AP Environmental Science, room 513." I respond.

"That's one floor above my class, I'll walk you there." He says and I smile.

"Thanks." I say, as we head out of the library.
