The Clock Tower Heist

(AN - This story takes place during the clock tower heist. This is not a yoai fic. Sorry for you guys that love it.)

Shinichi's - POV

The screen descended onto the crowd hiding the Kid from view. Up in a helicopter, Shinichi cursed. He was so close! Why did he hesitate to shot the top of he screen and switch to the bottom? He had a feeling in his gut that if Kid got caught it would not be satisfying. He sighed and motioned for the pilot to land. "Kudo-kun what are you doing?" Inspector Megure questioned. "Kid is still in the crowd, there hasn't been a lot of time since the heist." He would catch Kid and he would do it tonight!

As soon as the helicopter landed Shinichi had jumped off and took toward the crowd. As he was making his way threw the crowd he felt someone pull his hand to the side. He looked over to see a girl that looked exactly like Ran but with wilder hair. The second thing he noticed was that she was pissed. Not good. "Kaito! Where have you been? You said you would be right back, but you never came back!" Now he was really confused. Did he look so much like this Kaito person that they could be mistaken as each other? "I'm sorry miss but my name is Kudo Shinichi, not Kaito." For a second the girl looked surprised and she studied him closer.

Aoko's - POV (1 minute ago)

Where has he been? Kaito told her that he would be right back, but he had the nerve to ditch her! When she saw Bakaito she would be sure to hit him with her mop. Speaking of which she saw a head of hair and a face similar to the one she had just been thinking violet thoughts about walking through the crowd. She would not let him get away this time! Reaching out she grabbed his hand and pulled him to the side of the shrinking crowd. She would let him have it this time! "Kaito! Where have you been? You said you would be right back, but you never came back!" She turned around to face him and noticed something. Was his hair combed when she came here with him? Shinichi put his hands up in surrender and backed away a little bit. "I'm sorry miss but my name is Kudo Shinichi, not Kaito." First she was confused. He wasn't Kaito? Impossible, they could be twins! She looked closer at him. His hair was much nicer than Kaito's and he had a different body build than Kaito. When she thought it could get weirder it did.

Nobody's - POV

Aoko stood there holding Shinichi's hand looking confused when he coughed to break the silence. Aoko blushed and quickly let go of his hand. "I'm sorry! I thought you were my friend. You two look like twins!" Smilling Shinichi decided it was a simple accident, "It's alright you didn't mean it and it was a mistake, now if you will excuse me I need to catch Kid." Aoko smiled back. "You couldn't be Bakaito, your way to nice and I wish you the best luck in catching that stupid theif!" "Thanks Aoko, I'll be sure to talk behind your back when your not there." A voice spoke up from behind her making both turn there heads and for Shinichi to stop moving. Standing there was Kaito himself looking happy and confused. Kaito made his way over to them and stopped in front of Shinichi looking him up and down, he whistled. "Aoko was right though we could be twins." Shinichi looked back at him, smirked and held out his hand "Kudo Shinichi, I have a feeling we will get along very well." Kaito smirked back an identical smirk and shook his hand "Kuroba Kaito, depends do you like magic tricks?" "Yes, why?" "Kaito hugged him crying fake tears, smiling, and yelling at the same time, "I have found someone to call my brother!" "Eh?" Aoko shook her head while smiling "Ignore him he always acts like this." Shinichi had a feeling this was going to be a long day.
