It was the school holidays. Well, not summer break or winter break as you would say in other countries. In Singapore, however, the secondary school students have a break in June that lasts for a month. Or at least nearly a month.

Cafès are extremely beautiful here and the view around Clarke Quay are worth the visit. They always leave this thought on me, 'what's next in life?'.

A simple question in life that leads to numerous things. And as of now, that would be my missing phone.

"Where's my phone?" I searched my bagpack anxiously, rummaging through my things like my life depended on it. 'Please tell me it's around here somewhere.' I begged in my head. I'm warning you, please do not underestimate this small piece of device.

A mobile phone is extremely important. It helps you contact others and communicate with them through social networks and apps. In the wrong hands, your information could be used against you. I'm not indicating that it is very dangerous here in Singapore to leave your electronic devices around. Logically speaking, no one would leave these expensive items around right?

Unless of course you were careless and extremely imbecile like me to leave them around.

'Genius...' I slapped my forehead with my palm. I proceeded to pour out the remaining contents of my bag on the cafe table and saw nothing but my wallet, keys, notebook and a pen.

I slumped on the chair and knew I'd lost my phone for good. There goes all my Instagram photos, Whatsapp contacts and conversations. And more importantly.. My photos.

My heart sunk, I knew I was in for a good scolding later.
