MONDAY, 8:45 AM; CLASSROOM 1-A,
U.A. HIGH SCHOOL

"Huh? What is this?" A scattered mess of crumpled tape decorated the top of Y/N's desk. She picked a piece up for inspection. A stick? A tree? Perhaps a flamingo? The girl couldn't make out what the item was supposed to resemble. She rolled the pieces of tape to the side of her desk, gathered them all in one pile, and dropped them in the trash.

"Maybe somebody was doing arts and crafts earlier."

TUESDAY, 8:45 AM; CLASSROOM 1-A, U.A. HIGH SCHOOL

"Another one?!" Y/N looked at her desk in bewilderment, as an even bigger mess of tape was sitting atop the surface. She pinched the creation and help it up between her index finger and thumb, inspecting it. "Seriously, what is this?" she muttered, looking at the object from different angles.

FRIDAY, 8:45 AM; CLASSROOM 1-A, U.A. HIGH SCHOOL

Y/N stared hard at the fifth sticky creation left on her desk this week. Just like the previous days of the week, she tried to determine the shape of the object. A plumbing tool? A wine glass? A tree? It definitely has to be a flamingo this time.

The sliding door to the classroom opened with a loud bang, and Sero came rushing in seemingly out of breath. Y/N looked up at him, seeing the beads of sweat that lined his forehead.

"Ah, good morning Sero." The boy jumped upon noticing her presence. Quickly shoving his hands behind his back, he looked at her with a nervous smile, the beads of sweat falling and rolling down the sides of his face.

"Oh, hey! What a coincidence seeing you here, haha! Ha..."

  "It's not a coincidence though—?"

"Oh look! It's Kaminari with the bread he owes you!" Y/N whipped her head around as her eyes scanned the room like a predator seeking its prey. She turns her head back once she fails to catch sight of her classmate that was indebted to her as she had given one of her bread rolls to a starving Kaminari during their lunch break yesterday.

"Sero, you might be seeing things."

"Oops! Maybe you're right, hahaha..." Sero smiled nervously, his hand rubbing the back of his neck. It was almost odd how jittery he seemed to be, as if he was hiding something....

Y/N felt the sticky jumble of tape in her hand from earlier as she curiously observed Sero who squirmed in his stance in front of her. Her eyes travelled to his elbows. The more she fumbled with the tape in her hand, the more her neurons pieced one-and-one together.

"Did you make this?"

Gone. He was gone.

"???" She watched his retreating figure dash out the door to who-knows-where.

SATURDAY, 7:52 AM; DORMITORY, U.A. HIGH SCHOOL

Sero yawned out loudly, stretching his arms in the air with his fingers almost touching the top of the doorframe. With just one foot out the bedroom door, he felt a familiar, sticky material on the bottom of his foot. Curiously, he reached down to examine it.

"Tape?" Unfortunately, it had become slightly crushed due to stepping on it, but it vaguely looked like a rose. He spun it between his fingers, letting his brain wake up while trying to figure out where this came from.

Just then, he found a sloppily written name on the tape. The thick, black lines form the marker slightly smeared.

'Y/N.'

Oh boy, there goes the butterflies. Not once had he expected to get a rose in return—especially not made of tape. Blood slowly crept up to his cheeks, his brain now fully awake. Without much hesitation, Sero dashed to grab his sneakers from his room, hastily putting them on and grabbing his wallet on the way out to the door.

She was eating good today.
