It has now been confirmed that BTS's Suga and TWICE’s Chaeyoung are in a relationship.
The news outlet IDOL News published a report at midnight KST on May 12 stating that according to their investigation, they were exclusively reporting that Suga and Chaeyoung are dating.
Fans were highly doubting that they were only friends by the time they started posting each others picture, that's why fans were expecting the news of them dating and continued to support the the two idols

IDOL News is the outlet that reported in April that Suga and Chaeyoung were in a relationship, and in the April 29 report, they mentioned that BigHit Entertainment and JYP Entertainment had denied that they are dating at the time.
The outlet wrote, “The two of them are currently developing a beautiful love for each other despite their busy schedules. It’s been said that in the rough entertainment industry where many incidents occur, they are a great source of support for each other. Their relationship began as ‘long-time friends’ but they are now a couple.”
The report states that they came to know each other since their pre-debut days. They kept in touch when they were only trainees and up until they debuted.

There's even a rumor that the two idols were dating during Twice's Chaeyoung dating ban and it remains as a rumor since there weren't any pieces of evidence.
After the news broke out Twice member Chaeyoung posted a picture of BTS member Suga minutes after the agencies released their statements.

And was followed with BTS member Suga's comment on under her post saying "We're not friends anymore"
