Chapter 16(The blood Oath)

Viscount's P.O.V 

Tonight was the blood oath my princess will pledge her love, soul and life to me I looked over at her she was silently reading a book on our bed, she noticed me looking at me and gave a weak smile, she was still in pain from the earlier war that made her twist her ankle and gashed her arm. Eclipsa healed her when we all retreated, our allies were down by half but thanks to Vexanna and Faramis we resurrected them 

Fallen Modena:Vis are you alright you have staring at that wall for almost half an hour 

I didn't reply instead I just stare at her and without giving her a warning I gave a kiss 

"Nothing it's just I'm excited for the blood oath tonight"I said 

She stared at me we happiness is her eyes and nodded but then due to her still adjusting to her new powers I and Eclipsa gave her she started to topple I caught her milliseconds before she hit the ground she looked me weakly and closed her eyes, I placed her on the bed her body was even more fragile then ever. 

Fallen Modena:...I'm sorry...... I'm supposed to be your queen but I'm so weak now..... just because I'm still adjusting to my new power I feel so stu-

I stopped her middle of her apology by pecking her on her lips she was not weak I had problems adjusting to my new powers she's no different she immediately knew to stop talking she started to close her eyes I brushed a lock of her dark lavender hair out of her face she was asleep 

I walked out to the throne room to look for eclipsa but right as I stepped into the throne I heard a loud clutter coming from my room 

Eclipsa:Is everything ok your majesty?! 

I just looked up and used my Super speed to get to the room fast eclipsa used her staff to fly after me, when we came to my bedroom door I tired opening it but it was shut tight eclipsa used her magic to bust the door down and we were nearly hit my a magic orb we looked where it came from and saw Fallen crouched over near a destroyed stain glass window crying and shooting energy balls  towards the door 

Eclipsa:she's seeing things

I walked over her and pulled her hand away from her face she was crying blood and her eyes were shut, I leaned closer and she opened her eyes they weren't dark teal anymore they were pure blood red her transformation was almost complete but she was entering the harder stage to test if she's truly ready this part is when the holder starts seeing terrified illusions and start acting psychotic those who failed committed a suicidal to stop the illusions but she was not even close to the knifes, I bridal style carried her 

Fallen Modena:Vis?

"I'm here it's ok"I said trying to calm her down 

Eclipsa:Congratulations Princess you passed the test even tho u felt consumed by the illusions you didn't think twice bout committing a suicidal because you knew you couldn't our king behind 

Fallen just looked at eclipsa then back at me I slowly put her down when her feet touched the ground she looked around and saw the room was a mess eclipsa quickly cleaned the room and left a blood red and black dress on the bed I knew it was for the blood oath Eclipsa left to give us some space 

Fallen Modena:That was a test....? 

I nodded while caressing her cheek she looked at then rested her head on my chest while I wiped away the left over blood on her face I knew what she saw was definitely traumatic 

"Why don't we just rest before the blood oath?"I suggested 

She nodded and we went to the bed she laid her head in my arms are we rest because tonight will seal her to me forever 

Alice:your majesty it's time for the blood oath 

We nodded and went to temple of blood to start the oath while eclipsa helps fallen get ready
