Ruda's eyes widened, quite taken aback by my reply. I look at him pitifully, thinking, what in the world a lapdog can do anything other than for his master?
I then turned around and whisper to Eugene," I'll be going, you come back when you're, finished, 'kay?" making him blush tremendously.
I dryly look at the two pests in front of me and sigh irritatedly. I don't know if they were shocked or not but I did hear hear some gasps from the students in the cafeteria, making me more irritated.
I started to head back and was about to cross them when the high, holy, prince spoke up," Violet, can you and your sister
come to my chambers? I need to apologise for what happened yesterday."I was quite amused you see. Till the day I regained my memories and the stuffs that happened since then, the Prince Edward, refused to call me by my first name, no matter how many times I begged, but now when finally, finally I loathe him to my core, he suddenly starts to call me "Violet"?
Although my face was very much cringed up, and I'm sure he could see that, I replied as smoothly as possible,"of course, your highness. I'm sure Lady Mary would be delighted." I bow down and resume my way back, fully ignoring the now shocked price.
****************
"Yo-your highness, its-its a pleasure to make your acquaintance. I-I am Mary Elias, daughter of Duke Elias."
Mary nervous, stumbled on her words, producing a lame, stereotypical heroine type aura about her.
The prince simply frowned at her and seemed to be disturbed by her greeting.
"Oh, if I may, Lady Mary, you should learn properly how to greet your highness as he is not anyone but the crown prince of this Empire. It's a little insulting to see the Duke's daughter so ill mannered."
Ruda skeptically looks at Mary, clearly intensioning to insult her bit my god, this stupid Mary can't even see that!
Of course, I don't like Mary at all. But that doesn't mean that the Prime Minister's son can say whatever shit he wants to, to anyone. Specially a Duke's daughter.
"Lord Ruda, Mary is new to this environment, so of course she can't magically learn every single etiquettes in a single day. I mean, she's a human right?" I spoke up on Mary's behalf making Ruda look taken aback for a moment before he plastered a big fake smile on his face.
"Of course, I know and I do."
" Then, what did you mean by "learn properly" huh? Lord Ruda? Please tell me, did you learn to greet the crown prince without any stammering on your first visit? Moreover, ''ill mannered''?," I scoffed at Ruda, while he sensed that I was quite angry at him.
"No, I didn't mea-"
"No please let me finish, Lord Ruda. Don't you know that you are speaking to a Duke's daughter? Making Lady Mary embarrassed, when she didn't even ask for your advice on the first place, seems like you are now starting to look down on us, huh? Instead of tagging Lady Mary as "ill mannered" and "insulting", why don't you first learn your place? Seems like now a son of a Prime Minister is considering himself superior than a Duke's daughter."
The whole room went silent, except for Ruda glaring at me and me glaring back.
"And oh my, what would happen if the Prime Minister comes to know of this?"
Both of us turned to where the voice was coming from, and what greeted us made Ruda's eyes widened in shock and me smirk evilly.
My dear, dear sister Mary, you really are a quick learner. Yeah, it was non other than, Mary who was now holding a smug smile and looking at Ruda. On the other hand, Edward was just looking at us trio and wondering how in the world a quiet tea time turned into such a wrestling tournament??
"Whaaa....." Ruda was speechless at Mary.
"What, do you not mind of I go tell father what happened today?" Mary asked innocently. Ruda flinched up but didn't say anything. It must hurt his pride ha?
Maybe Mary did knew that he was going to stop her, so she quietly sat down and was about to call her Father with the magical telephone when suddenly,
"STOP!!!!" Ruda shouted. We all turned to look at him. He gulped and took a deep breath
".........please, stop."
