Tauanna POV
"Tauanna!" My brother, Blane hissed at me when i didn't answer him, his grip tightened slightly on my arm. "I'll tell father!" He snarled at me.
"His name is Alex. He is from the camp for tourists." I explained. Blanes' face turned from one of annoyance to one of anger.
"You went to the tourist camp Tauanna?! What is father going to say? You know your not allowed to go there. And the fact that you went there without anyone else is completely and utterly irresponsible and stupid and reckless!" He shouted at me. Everyone who was near us flinched slightly at the tone of his voice including Alex. "And why did you bring him back?!" Blane asked me, as he pointed to where Alex stood slightly behind me.
"Do not raise your voice at me Blane." I said calmly before prying my arm from his grip. "He was lost. I am simply helping him back to his camp before I realised that no one knew where I was. Would you rather I not have come back and no one knowing where to find me or to know where I am?" I asked him, my voice quiet. He nodded slowly before grabbing my chin gently and making me look at him.
"If you insist on going to the tourist camp, then you will take Kato with you." I nodded my head.
"If it will help to keep your mind at peace brother." I smiled softly. "Excuse us." I said before walking past him, pulling Alex with me to go and find Kato.
"Who's Kato?" Alex asked me.
"He's the leader of the warriors of this group." I said before being hugged by a young child. I looked down to see who it was and smiled.
"Hello Amista." I smilied and patted the young girl on her head in greeting. I noticed that she was looking behind me at tge tourist.
"Who is that Nintaq Ite?" (A.N. This is just a made up word which means leaders daughter its not an actual word)
"This is Alex Amista. Where is Kato?" I asked. My fingers running gently through her long dark brown hair. "Why isn't your hair tied back?" I reprimanded the young girl. She looked down at the ground before mumbling a reply that I didn't understand. I softly moved my hand to cup her chin so she was looking at me. "Speak up."
"It came undone." She spoke louder this time. I nodded and asked her where Kato is again. "He is hunting." I nodded and smiled before telling her to get something for me to tie her hair up. As soon as she was gone I sighed before motioning for Demitri to come closer to me which he did so quickly.
"Find Seke." I ordered the panther.I watched as he turned around and headed to the forest before facing Alex. "Kato is hunting and I do not know if he will be here in time for us to make it back to you area before the moon is in the sky. We will have wait here until Kato comes or if Blane allows me to go with you alone." I said softly before turning to face Amista as she came up to me. I sat on the floor and waited for Amista to sit in front of me. She did so quickly.
I pulled my hands through her hair until I reached a tangle. I pulled again slightly stopping when I saw her flinch. "This is why you should have you hair away from your face." I scolded before continuing to get out the tangles. I then pulled her hair into a braid and tied it with the small part of vine she had given me.
"Thank you Nintaq Ite." She smiled before standing up and waiting until I gave her permission to leave before running to her hut.
"I thought that your name was Tauanna?" Came Alex's quiet voice.
"It is. Nintaq Ite means chiefs daughter." I answered absent mindly. I stood up when I heard my name. I looked up and saw Kato walking towards me. Demitri came up to me and so did Seke. They reached me before Kato and I stroked their heads before looking up once more when Kato stood in front of me.
"You brought a man from the tourist camp Tauanna?" Kato narroed his eyes at Alex before taking a hold of my arm, in a similar fashion as my brother had earlier. He pulled me towards him. He positioned himself so that he was between Alex and myself.
"Kato. I would like for you to take me and him to the tourist camp." I spoke in a soft voice. His answer was no. "Kato my brother wants you to take me to the camp. Why do you refuse to do as I wish? " I asked him, my voice showing annoyance at him.
"I can not. The moon will be in the sky in a small while." He answered and looked up at the sky before looking back at me. "We will leave when the sun is out. I will take him to Nintaq." He spoke softly. His hand going to my face before wiping some dirt off before releasing my arm and grabbing Alex's and pulling him to where my father would be. I frowned before following after them.
Hey guys so I know that it has been ages since I have updated this story and I know that most of you probably would have preferred for me to update The Life of a Thief but I didn't have any inspiration to write it. I probably won't be updating any thing in the next few weeks maybe even months because I am super busy, I have recently moved house and moved from Wales to England and I start college this Monday coming up so I've been a little busy and will be for a while. Anyway I hope that you like it. Don't forget to vote comment and fan :-)
