Like a Dog ( Reader x Levi)

You awoke to the sound of chains. You tried to move, but found it extremely difficult to do so from the restraints on your wrists and ankles that kept you confined to you bed.
'How didI end up in this mess?',you asked yourself as you tried once again to free yourself from your restraints. You finally decided to stop your struggles, seeing how all you efforts were to no avail. As you sat in to dark room, you heard the sound of keys start to jingle outside the door. Your hopes were spirited that someone had come to rescue you from this hellhole. But what came through that door was something you had wished to never see again. It was Captain Levi.

~~Yesterday~~

You had just finished cleaning the mess hall when Eren came in. You stopped putting away the supplies to see who had entered the newly cleaned area. When you saw who had entered, you immediately smiled.

"Hey Eren! What's up?", you asked as you approached your childhood friend. He brightened up when you approached him.

"Not much. Just came to tell you Captain Levi wants to see us.", he replied with a slight smile. You laughed. Knowing how much Levi liked to clean, you were pretty sure he wanted you all to clean the HQ.

"I bet were cleaning the HQ again.", you said with a small chuckle.

Eren laughed with you."Your right! What do you think were cleaning today?"

"I don't know. Captain always finds something new for us to clean."

You two shared a laugh before you walking to Levi's office. Along the way, you ran into the Capitan himself.

You both were startled, and immediately saluted in front of him as a response. He replied with his all to familiar 'Tch', sound and continued walking. You and Eren both exchanged looks of confusion.

"Should we follow him or go to his office?", you questioned confused as to where to go. Eren shrugged, also confused as to wherw to go. You both decided to go to the office, and wait for him there. When you both got there, you found Armin, Mikasa, and Levi there waiting for you. You both took your places next to your friends and awaited Levi's commands.

"You all are to remove the expired food from the storage closets. Is that understood?", commanded Levi ,his grey eyes boaring into each one of you. You all replied with a "Yes sir" and began to leave to carry out your duties. Before you could leave, you were called back inside.

'Am I in trouble?', you thought as you waved goodbye to your friends and made your way back to the office.

You walked back inside, thinking that you were in trouble. Instead, you were pulled into a tight embrace. To say the least, you were surprised that Humanity's Strongest was holding a incignifigant cadet in his arms. It was only after about 5 minutes that you realized the man standing above you was crying.
'.....What?....',you thought, confused as to why Levi was crying. You patted his back as an attempt to calm him down. Despite the fact that Levi was your superior in every way, it broke your heart to see the people you cared about in such a bad mood. Luckily, it worked just enough for Levi to express his thoughts to you.

"Why do you call that shitty brat a friend?", said Levi through the remainder of sobs he had left. You blinked out of confusion. Who was he talking about? And why was he so upset that you were friends with this person? It seemed to be so out of character for the Humanity's Strongest to be worried about someone below him, let alone a cadet. You continued to think about who he was talking about as he calmed himself. Levi had been calmer by the time you had finally figured out who he was talking about. He ws talking about Eren. You were slightly taken aback, seeing as to how Eren was your best friend. So you did what you thought was best for the situation. You defended your friends.
