My differences between Mafia and Gang:
Mafia: Group of men and/or woman who have legal businesses that are a forefront to the illegal businesses that they participate in. They also have an influence in the law and law enforcement.
Gang: Group of men and/or women who do illegal work out in the open. They have no influence in the law, in fact they despise those who work in law.
Minor characters in this book will not know the difference, so these will be used interchangeably in conversations. But I will clarify if you, my lovely reader, are confused at any point. Just leave a comment at the passage.

Towson, Oregon
Towson is a city much like Seattle, Washington. It has a large lake beside it. It's a very business oriented city in the center of the city. Downtown has the most businesses and stores. Uptown is more suburbs and residential. The East side is where most crime happens, and has it's own police and detective forces. The entirety of Towson has a population of approximately of 720,000.
(Completely made up city. Not a real place. Made up for this novel. It's my story.)
The Police StationThe Police station is Ana's place of work. A lot of time is spent here working at her desk with Jones. It's like any other police station, but the detective's desks are separated from the public. The M.E office is downstairs. The interview rooms are on the second floor. And the CSI is on the third floor.
Anastasia's ApartmentAna's apartment is her sacred space. It's a small two bedroom apartment - one being her bedroom and the other, an office. Most of the apartment is white with hints of blue sprinkled around. Ana keeps her apartment extremely clean and organized. The apartment is near a park so Ana takes her pup on walks every evening.
