The past three weeks had been extremely eventful, but also very strange. First, Steven had taken over Lars' body for the day. You knew that the teenager was acting weird, but the thought of having someone else be you for the day made you inwardly cringe. Lars, of course, was more than furious and embarrassed when he found out what had happened, but everyone else close to him seemed to like the "new" Lars better than the regular one. That had to be a reality check for him... In the same week, Steven and Connie raced Kevin as a fusion. That was more than surprising for you since you hadn't known that the two could fuse in the first place. On top of that, you hadn't even seen them in person, which was a little disappointing, but you would make sure you wouldn't miss it the next time. The week after that consisted of strange food combinations. Kofi and Fryman took part in some sort of restaurant war, leaving many people in town groggy and full with what they came up with. Steven managed to win the battle, and the war with his own restaurant, which you had to say was quite good given the fact there were only two menu items. What's next? Jasper joins the Crystal Gems? You chuckled to yourself, grabbing a fistful of sand and letting it fall through your fingers. That would be pretty great, actually... You sighed softly, closing your (e/c) eyes for a moment. The sun was just beginning to set, causing the sky and clouds behind it to turn various shades of purple, orange, and pink. The sand was warm under your hands and thighs, making you feel tingly all over in a good way. It was Sunday, but it was also the first day off you'd had since Mr. Smiley made you leave the amusement park Saturday, three weeks ago. "Hey, (y/n)!" You opened your eyes after hearing your name being called, a smile stretching across your face.

"Hey, Kiki! You're...doing deliveries now?" you asked as you stood up, dusting yourself off.

"Yeah," she replied, slightly out of breath. "The delivery car is broken so I'm taking over until Jenny gets it fixed."

"Oh okay. You sure you have it handled?" you asked, taking the box of pizza you ordered from the top of the stack the twin had in hand.

"Yeah! I'm getting some running in while I'm at it, so I'll be fine. I'll talk to you later though, (y/n)! I've gotta run to your neighbor before I go back into town to deliver the rest of these." You chuckled, cracking the box open to make sure it was what you ordered.

"Okay, chick. Don't push yourself too much though, kay?" Kiki nodded with a smile, laughing.

"Someone should be telling you the same thing," she shouted as she jogged down the beach towards Steven's. You giggled, turning to go back into your own home. Closing the door behind you, your ears perked up at the sound of Jasper's deep chuckle. You raised an eyebrow gently, setting the pizza box on the counter before locking the front door. You then made your way over to the large gem who was sitting on the couch, one of her arms resting over the back cushions.

"Who're you on the phone with?" you asked curiously, peeking over her shoulder. Jasper turned to look at you, smiling widely as you glanced at her phone screen. Millie's chubby face and big (e/c) eyes looked back at you, her smile and giggle contagious. "Aww! Hi, Millie!"

"Hi, (y/n)," she screamed back, giggling some more. You chuckled, draping your arms over Jasper's shoulders as you leaned against her.
