"YOU AND LILLIE ARE GETTING MARRIED!!" Cried ash as he fell backwards on his chair. It had been just yesterday since the betrothal news had hit Lillie and kiawe like a ton of bricks. Now it was their friends at the Pokemon school's turn. Professor kukui was as gobsmacked as his students. "Are you playing a prank?" He asked the sombered looking teens as they sat down on their respective desks. With one look from Lillie's almost tearful face, kukui realised that they weren't playing a prank at all. In fact they were dead serious. Mallow was as shocked as everyone else and tried to talk to them about it. "Can't you just tell lucimene and kiawe's parents the truth, that you don't want to get married?" She asked with a hopeful expression only to be met with kiawe's hopeless face. "You don't get it do you? This was a deal that my parents made because they were desperately in need of miltank. If I back out of this arrangement my parents will have to give back 32 miltank to lucimene and we'll go bankrupt!" This made everyone go white in the face. Scophocleas was the first to speak after three minuets. "So kiawe let me get this straight. If you don't marry Lillie, lucimene will take more then half of the farms miltank and leave you bankrupt? It sounds like your basically being forced into this marriage kiawe". "It feels like it too for both of us" Lillie sighed as she looked at ash who looked just as upset as she did. As they talked, kiawe and Lillie's classmates began to find out more about what was going on. Apparently the young fiancés had gone through measurements, wedding plans and waltz classes all to prepare them for the sham of a wedding. Lillie had to try on a lot of tacky make-up and go on a diet to fit into a wedding dress she hadn't even picked yet. Kiawe had to taste a lot of wedding cake flavours and had to keep himself fit at the same time. But the worst wedding aspect that both Lillie and kiawe hated was the honeymoon. It had been decided that one of the best poni island hotels was there honeymoon destination. What made it bad was that was where they would also have their wedding night. They didn't need to explain anymore on THAT problem as their friends quickly got the point. After Pokemon school a limo pulled into view. Everyone found it hard to believe that kiawe would now have to go through wedding preparations with Lillie before going home, even kiawe. As the driver drove the two teens over to the estate Lillie and Kiawe began to strike up a conversation. "So...errr this wedding will be memorable won't it?" Kiawe stuttered as Lillie hid her face in her hands. "Yes I suppose it will be. Though it's a good thing we've got three weeks and a half till it's d day" lily smiled adding a joke to lighten the mood. It didn't work. "Well Lillie there might be hope. We could always get a divorce" Kiawe suggested only for Lillie to look at her feet. "My family doesn't believe in divorce. In fact even when divorce was legal my family line never got a divorce. So even if we wanted to my mother would never let us get a divorce. It's hopeless" Lillie replied. Kiawe knew his family was also very traditional so divorce was out the window for them too. It looked like it really was till death did they part.
