"I see you hacked into our security system, little sister." he said in an accusing tone. I couldn't believe my eyes and ears! My brother was alive! But most importantly, my brother was the person that kidnapped my sister otherwise why else would he be standing in front of me with his henchmen? "You!" I spat back, "I thought you were dead! I WATCHED YOU DIE! I grieved over you till this date and you faked your death? Moreover, you kidnapped your own sister? How could you? Do you know how much pain you caused me?" The last words came out in a choking manner as I had started to break down and tears were welling in the pools of my glittering green eyes.

Jerry slowly walked towards me, his military style black boots thumping softly on the floor, with his hands raised as if to say "I surrender" and crouched down until we could see each other at eye level, his light blue orbs staring deep into my dark green ones and said, "There's something we need to tell you, Cara."

That difference in the tone of his voice, from accusing to assuring, told me that I was talking to the brother I had always known, the one I had looked up to my entire life, surely he had a good reason for doing all this tomfoolery.

Right?

But wait, what did he mean by "we"?

I blinked back my tears stopping them from spilling out of my bulging eyes so as to show that I was strong enough to face anything my brother had to orate to me. I bit the inside of my lower lip and stared fiercely at him as if to say, "Go on then, rattle away!" He got the message and held my hand. I pulled away and snapped at him, "Don't touch me until I know exactly what your game is about!" His eyes projected hurt and sorrow but I had no time for soppiness because if I could, I would get all emotional and boohoo on him. But I didn't because I wanted to get to the bottom of this mess and find out the truth about everything.

Before he could take me anywhere, I took a quick scan of my surroundings, marking all the possible exits just in case I was being deceived by my own kin. Even though my brother seemed like he was genuine, over the past seven years I had learnt not to trust anyone, not even my own flesh and blood. So if Jerry wanted me to believe anything he said, he would have to earn it. But the one question that was still occupying every brain cell of mine was "Where was Megan?"

"Cara, I did not kidnap our sister. Stooping so low is not my area of expertise. I merely borrowed Megan for five years. Why do you think I allowed you to hack into my agency? You did not stumble upon this location, I made it pop up on your laptop. But I must say, you decrypted the code marvellously!" Jerry said sounding like the head of a top secret mafia. Which he probably was because he said something about "my agency". Before I could make head or tail of what he just said, a door had opened and somebody had walked out of it.

I looked up to see who it was and a whole rush of emotions overcame me. It was Megan! She had changed so much but she still wore her bright smile, revealing her pearly white teeth. I reached out to hug her but before I could do that, something totally unexpected happened.

Everything went black..

I knew it! I shouldn't have trusted Jerry, I shouldn't have!
