Once upon a time, far, so very far away… there was a kingdom, not like another… but a special kind of a place, where little Lucy Ann laid fast asleep in the tree house her father helped her make earlier that summer… Lucy Ann loved that tree house… she slept in it almost every night this summer.
“Lucy Ann!” Small Little Niall yelled from the ground below. Lucy Ann didn’t hear Niall. “Lucy Ann wake up!” he yelled again… A yawn escaped Little Lucy Ann’s small mouth.
“Niall you know I don’t like being waked... what could be so impotent.”She giggled throwing the rope ladder down for Niall to climb up...
He’s around the corner!” Niall yelled. “Grab the LSM!” he directed. Lilly Ann grabbed the box of lose change and climbed down and out of the tree house.
“Well come on Niall Ice Cream!” She giggled running to the street corner. “I scream, you scream we all scream for ice-cream!” She giggled. The two joined the group of children who looked much older to Lucy Ann. The line grew shorter and shorter until it was time for Niall and Lucy Ann to order.
“Two super strawberry swirls please!” Niall smiled holding up to Fingers. “One for me, and one for my friend Lucy Ann!” He smiled at the man.
“Here you go kid.” The man handed the two children there ice-cream. “One, Sixty-Two Please!”
“Here you go sir.” Lucy Ann smiled after counting the money. “Let’s go Nialler.” She smiled licking her ice-cream the two ran back to Lucy Ann’s small house.
“Is your Mom home?” Niall frowned.
“No… It’s just my brother.”
“Haws that?”
“Last night was fine… but he tried taking our LSM.”
“Wow… glad he didn’t… we wouldn’t have gotten ice cream. And I would have been mad.” Niall said stubbornly as possible.
“Niall...”
“Yeah?”
“After you move… will I see you anymore?” Lucy Ann frowned.
“My mom said that I would be going to a different school… and we could come visit every other summer.”
“But not every day?”
“Nope… You will be starting school here next week and I will go to a different school.” Lucy Ann took another lick at her half melted ice cream.
“I am going to miss you Niall.”
“And I will miss you Lucy Ann!”
“Niall… say goodbye to Lucy Ann, we have to go home.”
“Forever?”
“Not forever.” Niall frowned looking over at Lucy Ann.
“Goodbye Nialler… come tomorrow?”
“Goodbye Lucy Ann… see you tomorrow!” Niall hugged Lucy Ann who had tears in her eyes. Niall climbed out of the tree house and hugged his mother. “Let’s go mama.” And they went on their way… leaving Lucy Ann alone… crying in her tree house. What if Niall would forget about her? What If he got a new best friend? She thought about it for a while…
“Niall come back!” She screamed jumping down from the tree house. “Niall Please.” She ran towards Niall’s house until she seen the little boy with bleach blonde hair crying in his yard. “Niall!”
“Lucy Ann?” Niall smiled looking up… Lucy continued running towards her best friend. “Lucy, slow down!” He giggled.
“You can’t leave Nialler.”
“I wish I didn’t have too.”
“When do you leave Niall?”
“Tomorrow morning.”
“No! You can come live with me.”
“My mum said the states will be fun…”
“No Niall… you are Irish you stay here with me in Ireland.” Lucy Ann Pouted; sitting next to Niall on the ground.
“I will come back.”
“But what if you can’t.”
“I will… I won’t leave you here by yourself for long… When we get old… we can live together… here were we both belong!”
“Are you sure Niall?”
“Trust me!” Niall smiled at Lucy Ann.
“I love you Nialler!”
“I love you too Lucy!” Niall smiled and pecked Lucy’s lips… Both sharing their first kiss.
“Niall… come inside.”
“Guess I have to go…”
“Ask your mum if you can come over tomorrow before you leave?”
“Okay… Hold on.”Niall ran inside. Lucy waited for like five minutes… but was getting cold. She walked into the familiar house… but it was different boxes’ scatted everywhere… the walls were pictures used to hang, was empty… the Couch Lucy and Niall would giggle on, on rainy days… gone… she walked into the Kitchen were Lucy Ann And Niall would share food fights…. Empty… Lucy fell to the ground crying…. Harder... and harder.
“Lucy Ann?” Niall's mother called.
“Lucy… what’s wrong?” Niall panicked.
“Please Niall… don’t leave.”
“I am sorry Lucy Ann… but we have to.” Niall’s mother frowned picking me off the ground.
“No!” She shouted. “Niall is my best friend… and I love him!” She kicked away from nails mothers reach.
“And I love Lucy Ann… Please mum.”
“Niall that’s enough hurry… go grab your bags…” She sighed.
“Please Mrs. Niall’s Mommy.” Lucy Ann cried harder.
“Lucy hun… I am truly sorry… we have to go though dear. Here let’s get you home.”She picked Lucy Up.
“No. I can walk.” Lucy Yelled. “Goodbye Nialler… remember you promised… I love you Nialler.”
“I promise… Good bye Lucy Ann… Love you.” The two hugged their goodbyes… Lucy started for the door… she looked back at Niall, who was crying too. She waved. “Bye Nialler.” And ran home heart Brocken she just lost her best friend.
