My mother's face was the primary thing I started to remember right after I was born. As I grew older, I learned that my father had abandoned my mother before I was born. When I was four years old, I lost my mother in a terrible crash. My life turned upside down that day. None of my relatives were willing to take care of me. Within days, I became a homeless guy. I starved for one meal a day and walked around the corner of the streets that I know. I wanted food but got humiliation instead. They threw small stones at me, too, a few times. I cursed those heartless people for their inhuman actions. Every day, I literally felt like walking on the fire. I started to hate myself for my life.

When things got out of hand, I went to the pinnacle of depression. That night, I decided to leave this planet and find a better place in Heaven. My starvation has given me the courage to commit suicide. I went to one of the busy roads and waited for a large truck to come in. Few people crossed me, and they didn't even look at my pathetic condition. My mind said, "Why should they take care of you? You 're just useless. Go and die soon”. In a couple of moments, I saw a truck approaching the road at lightning speed. I took a step forward to slip in front of it.

Suddenly, someone pulled me out and shouted at me. Looking at him, I felt he was older than me. I started crying, and he was pacifying me. He asked me why I decided to commit suicide. Without editing it, I told him the whole story. Then he said a statement which I cannot forget till now He said, “Dude don’t dwell into your past. Focus on your present life in your hands to make a beautiful future”. The statement changed my mind at the time. Then he said, "Come with me, buddy. Let's go now”. It didn't take me a lot of time to realize that he's homeless as well. But the way he looked at life made me live my life. In a short time, we both become good friends, and each day we began off with a happy attitude.

It has all been good until one day. That night, as we walked down the street, we saw a thief threatening a beautiful girl. She glittered with gold jewels and glossy lipstick. Without giving us a second thought, both of us indulged in a fierce battle with the thief. We won the fight, though it may sound brave, and the robber ran away from us. The girl had been stuck for a moment, then she came back to the senses. She took her cell phone with her trembling hands and phoned her father.

After 15 minutes, her father entered the place in a Volkswagen car and we were standing next to her until that point. As soon as he stepped out of the vehicle, she rushed to him and narrated him about the entire incident. Then she said something secretly in his ears. He came close to us, looked down at us from top to bottom. He ordered us to come along with him with a grin. Although he looked like a villain, both of us understood the real intention. We both went along with them. That incident transformed my life totally.

Within a weeks’ time, both of us had a small house to live in, and we had three meals a day. More importantly, we got a soul who loves us unconditionally. Because of her, I am walking like a king in the same street amidst the people who once humiliated me. Now, when I look back at my life, I understood one thing, “Difficult times will come in our life, but they won’t come throughout our life”

My dear friend, if you are going through a difficult time now just stay calm and focus on what you got. As the saying goes, “This too shall pass”.
