It's been almost a week since my mistake with the changing rooms and, mostly thanks to the weekend, I've managed to stay away from any of the boys who I saw outside that door. Surprisingly there's been nothing said about that embarrassing moment spread around any of the other students, even though I would have thought at least one of the boys might have said something to a friend who wasn't there. Once that happens usually it gets thrown around and gossiped about. I only managed to tell Yui about it but I practically forced her to make her take an oath that she would keep it a secret. She still laughs at me whenever I flinch every time I see a tall blacked haired boy and I always flash her evil eyes when she does. She carries on laughing anyway.

We walk side by side in the sun, the light wind blowing my hair ever so slightly. We had come outside from our normal lunch spot to grab a couple of drinks from the vending machines and are now making our way back indoors. I take a small sip from my can and feel the tingle of the carbonated bubbles on my tongue before taking another sip of the fruity liquid.

As we walk a yellow and blue ball rolls on the ground and bumps into my leg. I bend down to pick it up and as I look back up I see a boy running over to come and get it from me. "Oh god..." I find myself saying under my breath as I recognise the boys face. I can see Yui in the corner of my eye with a mischievous smile on her face as she understands who's sports ball I'm now holding in my hands.

"Sorry." the black-haired boy calls out as he jogs up to me. He stops in front of me and I hold the ball out towards him. I watch as his manly hand reach over the ball and take it from me. One of his long fingers brushes over mine as he does so and I feel like it sends a warm flow through my hand and up my arm like electricity. I feel my cheeks grow warm and I can tell that they're beginning to grow red. I see his facial expression change from a friendly smile into a slightly surprised look as he recognises my face.

"It's not a problem. Excuse us." I say quickly as I spin around to walk away and escape from the current situation I'm finding myself in as quickly as possible.

"Hey! Wait a second!" He says as his fingers wrap lightly around my wrist, pulling me back towards him before I can walk off. His grip catches me off grad a little and I stumble a little and find myself standing even closer to him. Standing this close to him I realise how tall he is compared to my short 5 foot 4 inches. His hand on my wrist sends that warm feeling even further up my arm and through my body and I feel my cheeks grow even redder. "You-you're that girl," he says while his catlike eyes scan over my face. I drop my eyes towards the ground, not being able to look at him.

"Right! Well, I have some very important things to go do right this second. So I'm going to leave you two to chat as you seem to know each other. See ya" Yui says energetically and runs off before I can say anything. I know exactly what she's doing and I'm going to pretend I don't see her as she runs and hides behind a wall as she watches and listens into what will be our very awkward conversation.

I look back towards the boy for a second and a flash of realisation comes across his face as he notices he's still holding onto my wrist. He drops it as he takes his bag off his shoulder. "Oh! I've been looking for you but you must be in a different class" he explains as he searches through his bag and pulls out a dark green A4 book and holds it in my direction. "You left this in the in the changing rooms... that day," he says awkwardly as I take the book from his hands. It was my English writing workbook, without it I've just been using random bits of paper but I always lose them in the bottom of my bag. "Your handwriting is really neat. Nothing like mine" he says through a slightly forced laugh as he tries to lighten the mood and get rid of the awkward tension between us. I even see his cheeks go slightly red at the memory of the changing room incident.

"Th-thank you" I finally manage to say back after a couple of seconds of quiet between us. He holds the ball in one hand and I hand the book in mine. His other hand reaches up and scratches the back of his neck as he tries to avoid my gaze.
