Call it whatever you want: being shocked; taken by surprise or in utter belief... The two of us stood in the room surrounded by silence.
"Please take a seat," Mr Bradley (or Dorian) pointed towards the white, leather sofas that were towards me. I nodded and the both of us weren't at opposite ends of the room no more.
"Would you like a drink or anything?" He asked, as I sat down.
"Um, no," I shook my head slowly.
"I'd like to apologise for last night." He said as he sat down opposite me. "I was in a predicament and it just so happened that-"
"It's fine," I softly spoke. "I guess we were just as panicked as each other."
I couldn't believe it. He was in my gallery last night. And now, I was in his office... ready to do a commission for him and his company.
The commissions... You are here for the commission Alena!
Snapping out of my daze, I noticed the way he looked at me, He seemed more relaxed now. His eyes waivered over me, As if he was trying to look for something. I couldn't help but shudder slightly.
"So..." I spoke slowly, trying to find the right words to start this... meeting? Ambush?. "Congratulations on becoming the new CEO,"
He smiled slightly, thanking me.
"It all be official by the end of the summer. I'll be the youngest CEO the company has had, just overtaking my grandfather."
"If you don't mind me asking, How old are you exactly?"
"29, Why do you ask Miss Richards?"
"Just curious," I said quietly.
"Are you just curious?" He asked, playfully. I couldn't help but hide the smile that was creeping up.
"I like to get to know my clients before I make them a piece." I stated.
"Is that what we're doing? Getting to know each other?"
Mr Halliwell was right, this guy was a flirt.
"Not me," I said, opening my clutch and taken out the notebook and pen. "You... are the one that invited me Mr Bradley."
"Don't call me that." He shook his head. "Everyone calls my Dad that."
Looking up his legs were crossed, and his arms were resting along the back of the sofa.
"So, what would you like me to call you?" I asked, writing down the date and his name.
"Dorian," He stated.
I shook my head.
"Why not?" He playfully asked.
"Because I am going to keep this professional." I stated. "Do you do this with all your colleagues and clients."
