chapter two: storytelling housekeeper

Mara was doing her thing. Cleaning up the house and making sure there wasn't anyone in "the list' left. Soon enough Lancer ran up smiling!

He was such a sweetheart! A good kid for a housekeeper!

"Miss.Knight miss.Knight!!" He jumped up and down

"Oh yes lancer? What is it?"

" Do you have any stories of you and dad? " he asked smiling

"Well... Sit down I'll tell you how we met!" She smiled at the young child. Putting the duster down and sitting on the couch "well where do I start... Being that you were sick today and since you had to stay home I don't see why not I can tell you a story... Years ago..." She smiled we cut to a flashback

Mara used to be a homeless lady singing for people to try to get money... Hell even sleeping with some people just for food for the day... Once when she was singing to herself hoping for money... There he was

Tall,spikey hair, and a button up jacket

"Hey there!" He smiled, "couldn't help but to hear you! You sound great!" He got to her level and stuck out a hand "my names Lawrence!" He smiled

"Maria jade Stevens... But please call me Mara..." She looked up at him and smiled!

"Nice meet you Mara! Say what's a talented girl like you doin on the streets? I would thought you're someone from Broadway!" He chuckled

Mara giggled

"You even got the cute laugh!"

" Stop stop you're embarrassing me! " she smiled

"Hey thing is I need a bit of help... I have a deal I'll give you a place to stay if you-" he was cut off by Mara

"Have sex with me..."

" No! Here I gotta whisper it because... Reasons... "

"Alright...?" She got her ear close to his mouth

" I'll give you a place to stay if you be my assassin... "

"ASSA-" he covered her mouth

"Trust me it's for a good cause... Lot of people are out to get me... And I need one... As back up..."

She was quiet for a second "um... Alright!" She smiled " I'll help you! "

He then helped her up "alrighty let's go!" He booped her

With that she snickered

We cut back to now

"So that's how you two met!" Lancer smiled as Mara nodded.

"Now you should be in bed! You're sick remember" she raised an eyebrow

"Oh yeah..."

Though he was sick mara felt his head one last time before putting him back to bed

Still had a fever

So she picked him up and took him back to bed "I'll get you some soup later!"

" Ok! Love you momma!" Lancer smiled and yawned

"I love you too lancer..." Then she closed the door

*virr virr!* Her phone went off

She looked at her messages and then

'There's someone new on the list...' The text said

"Oh boy here we go"
