Rohan Kishibe had always lived a quiet life in the suburbs of Morioh. His day-to-day life consisted of the exact same thing every single day. First, he would get up in the morning, and practice his daily exercise routine for his hands. Then he would head to his studio, located in the second floor of his large house (where he lived alone), and the draw the latest chapter of his manga.

It wasn't a very entertaining life for Rohan, but he was passionate about his work. His everyday life was something he had just gotten used to.

Not many people were aware that Rohan lived a peaceful life in Morioh. He never got any visitors, rarely left the house, and when he did, it was usually to go on trips to get inspiration for his manga. Unfortunately though, Rohan's inspirational methods were rather harsh, for he possessed a Stand, his source of power, which he had called 'Heaven's Door.' This special Stand of his allowed him to turn his victims into a book, which allowed him to read into their memories.

Taking advantage of this, Rohan had a successful career as a manga artist. Using memories of those who fall victim to his Stand, he would write amazing stories and share them with the world. He had lots of money which he had no use for. Most of his days were spent alone, so what could he possibly use it for?

Rohan never thought he would have anyone to share his thoughts and feelings with. He thought all he had was himself and his wild imagination. He thought all he had was his manga volumes, his expensive Sailor Moon figurines and his beautiful Victorian era house.

This morning went the exact same way Rohan pictured. He woke up refreshed, his eyes gazing out the window at the bright sunlight that lit up his dim bedroom. He rose from his bed and stretched out his arms, feeling relaxed at the looseness of his limbs.

After waking up, Rohan immediately got started with his daily hand exercise. It was, after all, one of the reasons that made him such a talented artist. He could draw detailed characters and scenarios, all pictured from his wide imagination, and he could do it quickly on a whim. In fact, unbeknownst to the world, Rohan was capable of finishing manuscripts for chapters long before its due date. With the aid of his Stand, he could splatter ink across pages and have them land in exact places, and work quickly without first sketching, drafting or storyboarding his pages.

Rohan stepped into his studio, a large room near his second floor balcony. While most of his interior was plain and quite empty, his studio was full of colour, with large bookshelves containing manga volumes, anime figurines, and rows and rows of art supplies.

He pulled a string next to his window, shifting the blinds, causing sunlight to stream into the room. He whipped out his drawing pen, and began scratching away on a piece of clean manga paper with clean, precise strokes.

Rohan wrote manga not for the money or for the fame- he wrote them simply because he wanted to be read. He wanted his thoughts and imaginations shared with the world.

To him, this life was perfect.

On the other end of the spectrum was Josuke Higashikata, a first year at Budogaoka High School. He was one of the most ordinary teenagers you'd ever meet- he was kindhearted, caring, savvy, courageous and friendly. Most of his days were spent hanging out with friends, having girls obsess over him (which he found to be quite annoying, though he is too polite to say so) and playing video games at home. It was an ordinary life, and Josuke couldn't wish for anything better.

His mother didn't seem to understand him very much, and though Josuke loved her dearly, he could never find much things to say to his mother. The most interaction they had was Josuke's mother pestering him to finish his homework instead of playing Gradius on his console every night.
