The morning went by slowly, the trio assisted all their classes, Blaise looked a bit out, since the conversation with Draco he had been trying to write a proper answer to Bellatrix as well as an explanation for his mother.
Draco skipped lunch, giving a simple excuse to his friends, "studying", which none of them believed of course, but Pansy knew all too well that asking too much question to Draco could get her days of silence treatment, and Blaise, well he knew what was going on, for the most part. Draco still hadn't warn anyone about the all murder thing, and he didn't want to. It was already too much just to have the mark.

After lunch Draco showed up, he was on his way to Potion class, his books in one hand and his potion kit in the other one, Draco and Pansy were waiting for him in front of the class.

"Had fun studying?" asked Pansy, putting the emphasis on the word studying.

"No Pansy I did not have fun, studying isn't supposed to be fun." replied Draco, with a sarcastic tone.

"Oh come on."

Before anything else could happen the dungeon door opened and Slughorn's belly preceded him out of the door. As they filed into the room, his great walrus moustache curved above his beaming mouth and he greeted Potter and Blaise with particular enthusiasm.
The four Slytherins that were still taking potions classes took a table together.
In front of each tables a few bubbling cauldrons were displayed. The one nearest the Slytherin table was colorless and odorless, it didn't seem interesting.

"Now then, now then," said Slughorn, whose massive outline was quivering through the many shimmering vapors. "Scales out, everyone, and potion kits, and don't forget your copies of Advanced Potion-Making..."

As soon as he stopped talking the students got their furniture out and ready to be used. At the two tables everyone was ready but they had to wait for the third table where Ron and Harry were asking for books.

"Now then," said Slughorn, returning to the front of the class, "I've prepared a few potions for you to have a look at, just out of interest, you know. These are the kind of thing you ought to be able to make after completing your N.E.W.T.s. You ought to have heard of 'em, even if you haven't made 'em yet. Anyone tell what this one is?"

He indicated the cauldron nearest the Slytherin table. Pansy looked up but couldn't find what it was, it only looked like water. Draco on his side wasn't particularly paying attention to the lesson.
It was Granger, as usual, who raised her hand first; Slughorn pointer at her.

"It's veritaserum, a colorless, odorless potion that forces the drinker to tell the truth," she said.

"Very good, very good!" said Slughorn happily. "Now," he continued, pointing at the cauldron nearest the Ravenclaw table, "this one here is pretty well known... who can—?"

Granger's hand was fastest once more.
"Can't she let us time to look properly at the potion," whispered Pansy while Granger was giving the answer.

"Excellent, excellent! Now, this one here... yes, my dear?" said Slughorn, now looking slightly bemused as Granger's hand punched the air again.

"It's Amortentia!"
Pansy seemed more interested in this potion than any other as she leaned towards the smell of it. Draco had a slight grin at the sight of Pansy leaning that much towards a potion but then he noticed that almost everyone seemed to be dragged towards the small cauldron. Suddenly a particular smell took over anything else, he could smell fire, cologne and old books.

"It's the most powerful love potion in the world!" continued Granger.

"Quite right! You recognized it, i suppose, by its distinctive mother-of-pearl sheen?"
