Nicky woke up on a brand new day, excited to continue her internship. But as she got out of the shower, Greg texted her that he was sick and Niall had an interview on The Late Late Show with James Corden. Yes, even though it's the Late Late show, they shoot in the morning. Greg sent her some of Niall's previously recorded tracks and asked her to work on it.

On her laptop, she listened to the tracks and was amused at how beautiful Niall's voice was. The track she was listening to was a romantic song whereas the song they recorded yesterday was an upbeat song. His voice gives a different vibe when he sings romantic songs. When he sings these kinds of songs, girls' hearts could instantly melt.

The headphone was only on her left ear whereas the right headphone was behind her ear so she could still hear the surroundings. She almost got killed once because she had her headphones on and couldn't hear a speeding car coming at her. That incident really traumatized her that she never fully wore headphones again anymore.

There was a knock on the front door. Nicky opened the door and it was a tall middle-aged man named Sir Michael Stewart, her head guard. He entered the room and closed the door behind him,. "Excuse me, Your Majesty, His Royal Highness, the King ordered a private video conference with you," Sir Steward said. He gave her the encrypted tablet. A few seconds later, it rang. Nicky sat on her bed with Sir Stewart standing closeby. It was a mandatory protocol for the members of the royal family to video call on the encrypted tablet only and they have to have a guard nearby, just in case something happens.

Nicky answered the call. She could see her family, sitting on the huge sofa in the living room of the palace in her home country, Catalana. "Nicolette," the king started, "the attack yesterday was quite brutal. The rebels almost infiltrated the palace. We were grateful that the guards were able to push them back. I believe it is not safe for you to be in another country. It is more vulnerable for them to get to you."

"Are you all okay?" Nicky asked. She hasn't updated herself on the latest Catalanan news. Playing along, she hoped her father didn't notice her lack of knowledge.

"We are fine," the queen said, "but we feel that you should come back home immediately."

"I can't, the deal was I'm gonna stay here until I graduate, remember?" Nicky said.

"But this is a critical condition," the king said again, "these rebels can track you there."

"I've dealt with the rebels before, dad. I'll be fine. I'm living under a different identity and I always have Sir Stewart and his men with me," Nicky convinced them.

"Nicolette, we don't know who is the mastermind behind these rebels yet. We have studied patterns of the attacks of the previous rebels but this is the first time this group of rebels attacked us. They are a new group. Don't you know that?" the king exclaimed.

There was silence for a moment. Then her father started again, "you haven't been reading Catalanan news, haven't you?"

Nicky sighed, "I'm really sorry, I've been so busy with uni, now there's internship and of course my undergraduate thesis."

"As an heir to the throne you must update yourself on the news, Nicolette," the king said.

"I will dad," Nicky sighed, "but there is no way I am going home. I'll alert you as soon as possible if anything happens, okay, and I'll be safe."

"Alright," the king gave up with his daughter. "Sir Stewart," he addressed the guard.

"Yes Your Majesty?" Sir Steward replied as he appeared at the frame.

"Do take care of Princess Nicolette. I put her life under your responsibility." he said.

"Indeed Sir, I solemnly swear with all my heart." And with that, the king hung up.
