Clarke - Planet Bardo
Suddenly, the hairs on my arms began to erect, the atmosphere around me became vividly contrast, I was no longer cold, I was warm, I felt at ease. However, I knew that I needed to be vigilant, anything could be waiting for me on the other side of the miraculous green mist that had swallowed me, and threw me across the stars. Fear filtered into my bloodstream, as the mist remained. The wait was longer than the trip from Sanctum to Nakara. What if something has gone wrong? I thought to myself.
I felt like the world around my was falling apart, but I had to save my friends, that was my only goal. I had to save Bellamy. Slowly, the green mist began to fade, as I looked to my left to see Raven. She was stronger than she thought, she had opened up to me, she was suffering. The pain on her face was so distinct, but I couldn't worry about her. As the mist fully evaporated, I pulled my gun out so that it was facing a woman, 'Don't move!' I demanded, as a familiar face stopped in my way.
'Clarke? We've been waiting for you...', he stated, confusion overtook me. Why were they waiting for me? What did they want from me?
'The key.' the woman mumbled.
The white walls that surrounded me, brought back memories that I couldn't shake. Mount Weather. Desperately, I tried to erase that memory from my mind, 'Gabriel?'
'It's good to see you.' he exclaimed, as a sigh of relief left my body, if he was safe, then there was hope for my friends.
'Where are the others? Bellamy? Octavia?... Echo?' Raven looked at Gabriel, as she awaited his response. His face had seemed to drop, as he began to choke on his words.
'Octavia and Echo are here', he said, as another sigh left my body. My friends were okay, I had nothing to worry about, but slowly the daunting realisation hit me. He hadn't said Bellamy's name. Was he okay too? He left with Octavia to go to the anomaly, surely he is here, I thought to myself.
Gabriel paused, then made direct eye contact with me, 'Bellamy... Bellamy is dead.'
All of a sudden, the world around my began to crash down, as my vision became blurred from the tears, I wanted to break down to the ground but my legs wouldn't let me. I'd lost too much, surely not. 'He can't be' I stuttered, as I looked at Gabriel, hoping that it was some sort of misunderstanding. 'He can't be dead.' I screamed, as my gun fell to the floor, my hands had become weak, as my legs finally caved in. I had never felt more weak in my whole entire life, I had never felt more done with the world. All I wanted was for the ground to open up and swallow me into an oblivion.
'He died trying to save Octavia...' Gabriel said, as Raven helped me to my feet, my tears soaking into her suit. 'I can show you, if you'd like' he said, as I looked at him confused.
'Show me... how?' I asked, as he suddenly projected a screen up in front of me, there was thousands of files which he clicked through.
Octavia's Mind File... Bellamy Blake... Bellamy Blake Death...
Gabriel pressed on the file, as the roar of the green anomaly appeared in front of me, as I saw Bellamy in front of it. Next thing, there was an explosion, the vision went blurry. Bellamy was gone, and so was his hostage alongside the anomaly. From out of nowhere, the memory of when I thought my mom was on the drop ship dawned upon me, concern and sadness was all I could emote, but she was alive; and so was Bellamy.
'No body? He can't be dead, he jumped through the anomaly, it's the only answer', I exclaimed, as Gabriel glared at me, before he could respond to my statement, the doors ahead of me suddenly opened. As flashes of faint anamnesis dawned on me, 'Cadogan?' I said, as my heart fell through my body, butterflies tried to rip through my stomach. 'How the hell are you here?'
