Chapter 2: First Day of School

Beep! Beep! Beep!

Groaning, I hit the snooze button and slowly get out of bed.

"Good Morning!"

Surprised, I jump and turn at the sound of the voice. "Auntie Mel, what are you doing?"

"I want to help you get ready for your first day of school! Now come!" She said as she dragged me into the closet.

It was an hour later and finally I'm done after much arguing. I did not want to wear a dress, much less on the first day of school but here I am in the pastel blue dress she had bought me yesterday. Of course I only agreed to wearing it because I didn't want to make Melinda that upset, and because she said I could wear whatever I wanted with it. So I just put on the leather jacket and my usual converse. But, again. Because of the converse I had to let her do my hair, and makeup. She only straightened my hair and pinned the front parts of my hair to the side, thank god. And the only makeup I let her put on me was mascara.

"That took way longer then needed." Auntie Mel said as she plopped down on the couch. Turns out there was a vanity in the closet as well to do all my hair and makeup. Like that was ever going to happen.

I picked up my backpack which we had gotten yesterday, it was just black. Simple. I put my phone in my pocket, and I had already packed my back last night. "Auntie, can I go over to Oliver's room to give him the stuff I got him? He should be waking up right about now." I said glancing at the clock that read 7:30.

"Sure! Just make sure you two come down for breakfast before you leave for school with the boys." She said right before she left.

"Alright!" I answered and quickly got the toys and made my way over to Oliver's room.

Making my way inside, I saw him stretching and yawning. "Hey buddy! I have a surprise for you." I said.

He immediately ran towards me and started to jump up and down screaming "Let me see! Let me see!"

I laughed and sat down in front of him and pulled out the plastic bag of dinosaurs behind my back and gave them to him.

"Yay! More dinos! Thanks sis!" He said as he took them from me and hugged me.

I laughed and said "That's not all..." Then I pulled out the box from behind me.

"What's that?" He said pointing to the box.

"Open it." I replied handing the box to him.

He did as I said and his eyes lit up. He pulled out the dinosaur that was almost as big as him and dropped the box. "Wow!" He hugged it tightly then looked at me. "Thanks! I love you Odi!" He said giving me another hug.

I hugged him back and said "No problem little bro, come on let's go get some breakfast."

Right now, I was in the car with the twins and Caleb. We had just dropped off the younger kids at their school, and now we were headed to our high school.

"Ready for your first day kiddo?" Caleb asked from the driver's seat.

"Yeah. Why?" I answered.

He chuckled "Most people would be nervous."

"It's just a new school." I said.

"Just as weird as ever." I heard Brandon say from behind me.

"But in case anyone happens to cause you trouble, don't worry. We have your back." Callum said.
