Kakyoin rejoined the Crusaders much sooner than expected. The splash of blood when he had gotten scratched by the Stand known as Geb was only from his skin. His corneas had only sustained a superficial abrasion and healed in three days, as the cornea is the fastest healing tissue in the human body because it does not have a blood supply. Needless to say, the rest of the Crusaders were surprised when Kakyoin met them in Luxor as early as he did.
As the group stopped for a break, Jotaro and Kakyoin noticed a power outlet on a boulder. “Why’s this here on the outside of town?” the redhead questioned in his usual steady tone while glancing at his companion. The taller teen shrugged, never giving a verbal answer like he almost always did. “Touch it.”
“I’m not just going to touch some random power outlet in the middle of nowhere,” Jotaro stated and shoved his hands into his pockets.
“Why? What’s the worst that could happen? It’s just an electrical socket. It doesn’t seem to be connected to anything either,” Kakyoin responded lightly.
“Then why don’t you touch it since you’re so interested in it?”
“I don’t want to. That’s why I told you to do it.” He paused, “I’ll give you a couple hundred yen.”
Jotaro rolled his cerulean eyes at the hypocritical teen. “Fine. But if I get shocked for some bizarre reason, I’m gonna kick your ass.”
The shorter of the two only smiled nonchalantly, “Sure.”
Jotaro reached out his hand, only to pull back as a jolt of electricity traveled through his hand when he touched it. Kakyoin chuckled at his friend and hurried to join the others before Jotaro could inflict any harm. The group decided they would stay the night in Luxor to rest before they continued any further.

In the morning, the two Japanese students were awoken by Polnareff beating on their shared hotel room door and whining about wanting to get breakfast. Kakyoin kicked the foot of Jotaro’s bed, “Get up, lazy bones.”
Jotaro only rolled over onto his other side and got comfy. Right as he was about to fall asleep again, Kakyoin poked his shoulder. “Have you seen my earrings? I laid them on the nightstand before going to sleep last night.”
“Did you check the floor?” the delinquent mumbled out.
“Of course I did. I’m not an idiot.” After searching for a few more minutes, the redhead gave up. “I’m going to go get breakfast with the others.” The door opened and closed promptly after his statement.
Jotaro waited a few moments before dragging himself out of the extra comfortable mattress. He threw on his gakuran and fixed his hat after smoothing his hair back. He took a deep breath and sighed before departing the hotel room. On his way out the door, two girls around his age walked past, not noticing him until something pulled at the metal buttons on the hems of their skirts. The girls abruptly spun around, grabbing at their skits and preparing to hurl insults. Instead, the girls blushed and fawned over the tall, attractive teen in front of them. “I can’t escape all the bitches, no matter where I am in the world,” Jotaro thought to himself with an eye-roll as he went the opposite direction that the girls had previously been heading.
“Not even going to introduce yourself after looking up our skirts, Mister?” the one in a blue dress asked in a cheeky manner.
Jotaro suddenly stopped in his tracks, knowing he had never and would never do something like that. He shoved his hands in his pockets with a shrug before proceeding down the hall. “Maybe he doesn’t speak English,” the other girl suggested to her friend as he walked away.
