Everyone stared at Taehyung with their mouths agape. The director stood there, hands clasped together as he let the news settle in the air. For the past three minutes, that is, still settling.

"Um, was I too quiet?" Taehyung asked nervously, remembering all the horrifying memories of class introductions and presentations he's overcome to get to this position rush back to him.

"No. Actually, could you please say it again, Director Kim?" Yoona asked for them.

"Our proposal was accepted," Taehyung repeated and received the same reaction again. That is until Jisoo gasped and covered her mouth.

"We did it, guys," Jin said, sounding breathless. "We did it."

"We did it!" Eric said more enthusiastically. Everyone shot up from their chairs and went to do mini-celebration dances or give each other high fives.

"Our team isn't so useless after all, hmm?" Chaeyoung said as she hugged a still speechless Jeongguk.

"Yeah," Jeongguk managed to reply. His eyes found Taehyung who had his hands in his pocket, looking at everyone proudly.

Then, the words finally processed through Jeongguk's head. Taehyung's could be going to America. They could be going to America. He ran over to Taehyung then threw his arms around the man's neck and the other immediately caught him by the waist. They squeezed each other tightly, both smiling wide.

"We did it," Jeongguk said, pulling back so that he could look at him. "You did it," he whispered and Taehyung chuckled.

"Not without you." He leaned in to press a chaste kiss on Jeongguk's forehead when he realized their surrounding. Jeongguk's brows knotted, confused why the man's face fell so suddenly, until he understood.

The couple slowly turned their heads to look at their co-workers who were all staring at them. They should've noticed how quiet it had gotten. The two quickly broke away from the hug as they tried to find something to say.

"So, guys," Jeongguk started, thinking about what possible excuses he could come up with for this one. He knew his colleagues would never believe they had just become so friendly in the span of these few months. 

Well, this was it. "Meet my boyfriend," Jeongguk declared. For the second time in the past five minutes, their jaws dropped to the ground.

"Oh my god," Chaeyoung broke the silence first, even then her words coming out as a whisper.

"Would anyone believe me if I said I knew it?" Jinyoung asked with a quiet voice.

"To be honest no, we all knew there was something between them," Eunwoo replied in the same tone.

"Tch, right under our noses," Chaeyoung murmured. 

"Guys, we're right here," Jeongguk said and the others broke their eye contact from the couple and shared a look with each other before breaking out into laughs.

"Sorry, we're very happy for you. For you both. Please take good care of our Jeongguk, Director Kim," Jisoo said.

"You know, it's really hard to give you the 'we will break your bones' speech when you're our boss but we know it wouldn't have been needed either way," Eric added and Taehyung laughed.

"Thank you for supporting our relationship," Taehyung said, bowing his head for a moment.

"And I'm sorry for not telling you sooner. I didn't want to make anything awkward in our work environment," Jeongguk apologized but the others shook their heads, saying they understood the complexity of office romances.
