[Tuesday]
The next morning Clyde woke up early. He started to get ready for football practice. On his drive to school he noticed the blonde boy's words still echoed in his head.
"get AWAY!"
He felt an urge to hide himself away, almost having a physical response to the memory.
'Why does he want me to "get away" from him' he asked himself the whole of the drive to school.
Once at school, he sat with Token, and Jimmy at the lunch table. They were talking about random things they were planning for the summer, but the only thing on Clyde's mind was the twitchy spaz.
"Are you listening Clyde?" Token asked from across the lunch table. Clyde locked eyes with Token "sorta~?" He said with an embarrassed shrug.
"I'm just thinking about Tweek-"
"I still can't believe Craig d-did that." Jimmy said with a slight stutter from the other end of the table.
"Craig doesn't need us." Token said taking a bite of his waffle "I don't know if you've guy's noticed, but it's been pretty clear he's been drifting away from us." Clyde looked down at his breakfast taco "I can't believe that fucker.." he mumbled loudly taking a bite. After school Token, Jimmy, and Clyde decided to spend the night at Token's. Once there the guys spent most of the afternoon talking about Token's upcoming basketball game, and their futures after high school. Token was going to go to law school to become a prosecutor. Clyde was gonna go to business college, and Jimmy was also gonna go to business college.
After what seemed like hours of chatting the boys settled into Token's room to play video games. Jimmy, Clyde, and Token sat on the floor in front Token's bed in the order.
They picked up the controllers looking up at Token's huge HD flat-screen, and turned on Halo. Everything around Token felt fancier, even the air itself, even so Clyde never felt intimidated by this. Token, and Clyde had been best friends since 6th grade, the both of them, were so opposite to each other, yet so similar. They complimented each other like peanut butter and jelly. Token knew Clyde like the back of his hand, and likewise. After what felt like another set of hours. They stopped playing. It was near 3am and Clyde had to wake up early the next day.
"I'll go sleep on the co-couch-" Jimmy said with a smirk on his face.
"Are you sure Jimmy? You know I have plenty of guest rooms.." Token asked with politeness.
"haha, don't worry I'm probably n-not gonna sleep. I gotta go m-meet up with someone at 6am anyways." Jimmy responded with a smile.
"Alrighty, night night Jimmy~" Clyde said, Jimmy closed the door behind him.
Token got comfortable, and wrapped and arm around Clyde. Clyde melted into Token's hug. They both laid there in comfortable silence, appreciating each other's company. Suddenly the silence was broken by Token.
"Clyde, I know you too well-"
Clyde blushed "yes I'm aware-"
Token rolled his eyes "I mean I know what you're trying to do, and it's a dangerous game you're playing." Token said in soft voice.
Clyde turned to face him "what do you mean?"
"You have a thing for Tweek. You may fool everybody else, but you can't fool me Clyde." Token mumbled out half asleep.
Clyde blushed thinking about the small twitchy blonde.
"Craig is a smart guy, and just like he's our friend he could easily become our worst enemy." Token said softly.
Clyde knew Token was right, but he felt frustrated thinking about everything that had happened. Token cupped the brunette boy's cheek with his hand in a comforting way.
"Stop worrying Clyde....everything will work out in the end."
