I think I ended up somewhere else. I don't know how or why but I'm not in my bed. I am in a different bed altogether. Unlike my other bed which was made of the finest of woods and had the finest cloth. These sheets felt strange and the frame which held up the bed looked completely off. I got out of the bed and looked around the room. The carpet seems to be somewhat clean with some dirt in some places and it was as soft as carpet can get. The room itself seems more bland than a blank canvas and the only source of light was through a big dirty window with just as bland curtains. I looked outside the window and saw big buildings tightly packed together across the street from me. I saw the road and sidewalks which were empty, which made sense since it is a little dim outside and there seems to be some fog. The sky seems to be a dimly lit gray reminding me of concrete. The smooth window itself seems not to get washed too often even after people touch the glass with their dirty little fingers, my evidence being the smudges on the glass. I went to look at the strange bed I was sleeping in and it started to move on its own. As I continued to stare, the front legs of the bed began to move on its own. being replaced with big mummified arms of an abnormally sized-human and the back legs seem to be mummified animal legs, maybe a horse or something similar. The bed creaks as it lifts itself off the floor and starts to slowly walk to the door leaking strangely colored fluids from the bottom of what I assume is the box spring of the bed. It moves strangely like it is having a hard time controlling it's legs as it makes loud solid sounds with it's four clumsy limbs. I am mortified by what I was laying on only seconds ago and I couldn't move because of the shock I had when I turned around to look at this horrible thing of a bed. If it were an animal I would feel awful about the poor thing but I was horrified by it. It lifted one of it's dry wrinkly front limbs and grabbed the door handle with it's bruised leathery hand. The door opens painfully and slowly until it is completely opened. The bed then continues to move through the door without scratching itself in the door frame. After it managed to make it out of the door it continued it's journey down a dark, foreboding hallway going somewhere I couldn't see but still able to hear strange footsteps until they faded into the distance . I sighed in relief and I slowly lowered myself onto the somewhat clean carpet. I only then realized I am still in my red cotton long johns and now I feel a little naked. Wait I shouldn't be worried about me being in my sleepware I should be worried about where I am and what the hell just happened. Just when this thought came to me I heard footsteps coming from the hallway, but they seemed different from the footsteps of the bed. They sounded much lighter and controlled, kind of like a rich child with business shoes. I prepare for the worst as I quickly stand up lifting my shaky scrawny arms ready to punch my way out. Until he showed up at the door.
A small humanoid like thing showed up at the door. It had a skull of a fox and it's body was made up of bones but you could see greasy machinery and wet organs in it's exposed clean ribcage. It stands on two big makeshift legs made up of metal, wires, exposed muscle, and bones. On what I could assume was a neck was a big metal box with a multitude of small speakers on it. The feet of this creature were dirty looking shoes. It had no arms for some reason and it's chest looks suspiciously like a skeletal child's body with a small torn suit exposing said ribcage. At first, I was wondering why the hell somebody would make such a disgusting looking thing and why make it walk of all things. It then spoke.
"Hello there Mr. Hemlane."
The voice that came out was montone but polite and sounded like a real man's voice. I was startled at first and I didn't drop my fist. It's eyes? No they were small cameras inside the skull, looking at me in confusion. It then said,
" Mr. Hemlane are you okay? You seem frightened?"
I decided to calm down a bit and I decided to ask it some questions.
" Sorry I have no memory of where I am, can you please tell me?" I asked the creature. It responded
"You are at the hotel, sir."
