1- Just Harry

Niall lay on the bed in his and Louis' dorm room.

The school year was still a week away before official opening but the first years had had their orientation that afternoon and he didn't wanna miss it so he had arrived three hours before it and Louis picked him up as planned.

Most of them who had attended orientation left to go back home or wherever they were staying but those who decided to stay just got on with registration and all.

That's what had Niall tired out.

But now, he was all set; already had a dorm, already had his schedule, registered and cleared with the administration. All that was left was to wait for next Monday and begin lecturers.

There was a knock on the door and Niall perked up because who would it be. The only person he knew well enough was Louis and he had left after Niall decided to nap, saying he would see him the next morning.

But then again maybe it was a new student who was lost or someone looking to make a friend.

Niall swung his legs over the bed and walked to door, unlocking it and then opening.

"Louis?" Niall asked, shocked to see him. Louis hadn't yet moved into his dorm and he had left as soon as Niall was settled in.

Louis walked in and only then did Niall see that he was carrying bags of food.

"I knew you were too tired and wouldn't think of eating, so I brought you something. And yes it's Nando's, I didn't forget our chat." Louis grinned.

Niall felt like crying with happiness, the chat Louis was talking about was just a simple 20 questions game they played once on the phone to get to know each other better.

"You are so so amazing." Niall hugged him quickly and Louis shrugged.

"I mean I know so... " He trailed off with a cheeky smile.

"Oh shut up." Niall nudged him playfully and put the food on the small table as they both sat down to eat.

"This is delicious. Thanks a lot, Lou." Niall said through a mouthful of food making Louis chuckle.

"You are welcome, lad."

After they were done eating and cleared out, they found themselves lying on  Niall's bed facing the ceiling.

"So-"

"So-"

They both said at them same time and burst out laughing.

"You go first." Louis instructed and Niall nodded.

"Okay, uhm... I have thought everything through and," Niall took a deep breath. It's now or never. "I'm in."

Louis sat up abruptly and looked at Niall with wide eyes.

"You seem surprised." Niall commented still lying on the bed and now looking up at Louis.

"I am." Louis said and Niall raised an eyebrow. "I mean not really, it's just that when you said you'll think about I figured you will decline the offer and all." Louis explained and Niall too sat up now.

Niall sighed and decided to let Louis in on it a bit.

"Frankly when I said I'll answer you in three weeks, it was fifty-fifty shot. Like I knew I wanted to work and help out at home as well as support myself as much as I could but due to recent happenings, I'm a hundred and ten percent sure of it. I don't just want the money, I need it." Niall explained and Louis nodded slowly.

Niall could see that Louis' face was clouded with questions and so he went on.

"My parents didn't tell me this, but the reason why my grandma came to live with us is because... I found her medical report in her room when I went to grab her glasses and she... she has Leukemia." Niall wiped the tear that had fallen.
