The start of it all

After spring break me and my friends walked to school with one of the guys I liked but here's the problem he didn't like me which was a shame because I have had a crush on him for months now but I could never confess to him 😢 so today I finally stood up and i called him over to chat he came over and I opened up in these exact words "hey Nathan I really like you but I know u will never like me back so I guess goodbye" I turned to walk away but he grabbed my hand and pulled me back! He softly shouted "wait Katie I like you back too but I have never worked up the courage to tell you so since we both know we like each other wanna go out sometime" I kept it cool and spoke in a girly way like one of those Victoria secret models do "sure I would love to when are u free" he gave me his number and whispered "text me I'll tell you then" and turned away. That night I texted him and said " hey it's Maria from school how are you you said you wanted to hang out sometime x" but it wasn't him it was one of the most popular girls at our school Lindsay she wrote back "why are you texting me u fat bitch" I through my phone onto my bed and screamed "why did he do that I hate my life I hate it"! I walked into the school grounds the next day with Lindsay and her group of friends staring at me like some kind of freak she yelled out to me "your a loser you know that why did you text me I don't even like you you slut" I replied saying it was the wrong number" and running from them into the bathrooms to be alone my mascara was running and I looked like a monster I went to walk out of the toilet stalls to find my self with embarrassment from Lindsay and her group I ran out to go to my class which was the class my best (guy) friend was in and I did not want him to see me like this I put on a hoody and covered my face so I wasn't known but he still recognised me he tapped my shoulder and whispered "are you okay" I replied in a cheery voice trying to hide how sad I was "fine thanks for asking" but he knew I wasn't he said to the teacher "Katie's really upset can I take her to get some fresh air" the teacher nodded I walked out to Lindsay walking in giving me the death stare I put my head down and kept walking
